Perhaps you misunderstood what I said. The youtube video makes a point that people in the US are gullible. I also believe that the Japanese are similarly gullible. The stronger patriotism you have to your country the more willing you are to listen to what a Government or 'source' will tell you.
I'm neither Japanese, American or Chinese and I'm trying to take a balanced view here. It's history and I see no point in taking sides. There has been hundreds of sources from different nationalities who had reported killings and the presence of the Japanese in Nanking. Facts are facts.
I was careful not to use the word 'massacre' or 'atrocities'. It's obvious that Chinese people were killed in Nanjing by the Japanese. That is expected in a war.
The youtube video simply reveals that a propaganda film used during that time was fabricated and had exaggerated the extent of the killings in Nanjing. It's been historically agreed on by the Japanese and every other nation that more than a hundred thousand were killed.
What's being argued is that China says its 300 000 while Japan says its less.
