I can see why TH looked mystified at that point because self-indulgent isn't really what people were saying, and to me that connotes something different, like Goop crying. Which isn't what he did, really. He was humblebragging.

Did the handlers already know or were they righteously suspicious of a TMZ cameraman (who clearly had an angle with all that "Great speech - but everyone else thought it was shit" line)?
