TS can be a feminist or not, vote Republican or not - her choice. However when she assumes the mantle of feminism for financial gain, one is entitled I think to scrutinise the extent of her feminism, and in particular whether it is sending negative messages to her mostly tweety fans. I think one is also entitled to scrutinise her decision on the one hand to pursue teenagers who make and sell Taylor Swift memorabilia on Etsy, but on the other hand to take no action against alt right groups who use her image as an ideal of Aryan womanhood.

As for Scientology - it's a cult, and one about which there is a considerable amount of evidence of exploitative behaviour of many kinds (financial exploitation, abuse of minors, blackmail). Setting aside the question of whether one wants to support any celeb who chooses to align themselves with this organisation (I don't), association with Scientology has come to have an adverse effect on professional image.

TLDR: being a fake feminist/a scientologist/etc is arguably part of what makes these people crap at their jobs.
