The Oceanic Union continues to focus on developing nuclear weapons. As a reminder of our forces, we test a nuclear bomb on an uninhabited island far off the southwest coast of Australia. Meanwhile, our diplomats continue to assure other governments - especially Thailand - that we will only use such weapons in defense.

In response to some of our citizens requesting that the Oceanic Union send aid to the civilians affected by any of the many waging wars abroad, the government starts a xenophobic propaganda campaign to remind the Oceanic Union that meddling in international affairs is unwise.

One of the more extreme commercials:
A friendly hand reaches out to feed a shivering, starving child. Suddenly the child stops shivering and with a horrible sneer, whips out a shotgun and blasts away. Blood splatters the screen. An ominous voice says, "Some dogs always bite the hand that feeds them."
