I'm not sure how to ask this, I've had my cursor on the title box for a good 45 minutes now. I live in Fairfax, right near Washington DC. I'm a NEET, and I don't have any friends. I walk around by myself most of the time, and I'm not exactly sure what to do with myself now.

If anyone is interested, we can meet up somewhere public, like Fair Oaks Mall or something. I'm not shady, I promise. I'm just very, very lonely.

I have a broad range of interests and I get along with anyone. I'm sorry. This is a weird thing, but you guys are consistently top quality people in my eyes.

Given that there are so few people on this board, it might not be likely anyone lives near you. Also, most people on here are probably too shy to meet IRL. But if I'm ever in Virginia, I'll bump this thread in case you're still up for it.

In the meantime, if you're looking for company, try being more active in your community by attending events and various club/group activities. My suggestion is to not look for "top quality people" since that sets a high expectation for whoever you're meeting (which I doubt people on this site would meet those expectations IRL). But you should be okay with that since you said you can get along with anyone.

Anyways, I'd be lying if I said I knew how to make good friends. But I think you're doing a good job by putting yourself out there even if it's just on this website at first. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the reply! I'm not able to be active in my community since this are isn't really community-driven .. it's more of a homegrounds for businessmen. And by top quality, I guess I mean relatable.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for too big of meetups, but I figured I'd give it a shot and see if a person or two happened to live in the area..

Making friends in general is a very hard process, but I've learned the best way is to not be picky and not try too hard.. Which I guess I am kind of trying hard ... Oops ...

i surely wish that i'd had the nerve to do this when i lived in PDX or PHX. now i am all crippled up and can't get out of this medical facility (ln the american midwest) to meet any of you other half-dozen DQNs. [yeah, yeah, boo hoo hoo, ANYway...]

DQN from France here. An irl meeting would be interesting but there's probably not a lot of other french dokyuns here.
Even if there was some, I would probably be afraid to join because I'm shy and not very sociable and I'm a terribly uninteresting person.( 'A`)
Outside of some video games I don't have lots of interests. To be honest the only time I get out of my house outside of work is to play video games. But I don't mind because I love video games.
