And if so how can we fix it?
4-ch is probably more active now than world2ch was.
I would say it's absolutely correct.
The lack of over-familiarity with each other really fails to be not seen on 4-ch.
Oh, wait... how was that again?...
> A-bone (Jp. あぼーん (abōn) ) - "To delete a post". Posts are deleted in two ways: Normal A-bone and invisible A-bone (Japanese 透明あぼーん). Any posts deleted as normal A-bone are replaced by a special post, whose subject, date, and body are all "あぼーん".
"Aborn"?
> Nurupo (ぬるぽ) - A parody of the Java output "NullPointerException". Usually followed up with "GA(ガッ)!", the sound of a hammer hitting the "nurupo" poster, because of a meme started in this thread.
"NullPo"?
wikipedia never gets anything right.

I think Nullpo and Nurupo are both commomly used.
Reworded for coherency:
But I can't reply without relying on cultural stereotypes...

Maybe. I wasn't around for world2ch, sadly. :\

Yeah, that's what I was asking about in the initial post. It seems "true" Anonymity and respect for each other's ideals really aren't seen so much in 4-ch. Or so that article says.
It's hard to say but as far as I've seen there are more Anonymous then not here and I'd consider that a good thing. :) I dunno so much about "respect of each other's ideas"
あぼーん can be read as either way. Since it's just a word made up by 2ch, there isn't any proper romanisation. "A-bone" and "aborn" are equally correct, it depends on personal preference.

You're thinking in Japanese terms, though. If you just consider あぼーん as a made-up word in any language, it could be pronounced like English word "a" + English word "bone" = a-bone, and therefore spelt that way in English.

But that's a 'ne', not a 'n'. Compare 'knee' and 'gun'.
>>13
Don't you mean compare bone and gun? I just did and the conclusion is that you're wrong.
I just went ahed and removed the sparsley populated thing, since it definiteley isn't true anymore.

Lets get back to the original topic and try improving the 4-ch part.
( ̄へ ̄) Hello. I am "Mr. Likes To Age Threads". I do believe this is a thread in need of Age, so I would like to age it. That is why my name is "Mr. Likes To Age Threads".

The comparison should have been between Johnny and John. That is, n+vowel versus final-n.
