Textboards are dead. I am here to revive.
I dunno, text boards don't need a million posts per day to be considered active. Hell, you're ON a textboard right now! Why not make this one alive by posting here instead of making a whole new one?
Yet another textboard that will die in a matter of seconds. Don't you faggots get tired of trying?
If it had something unique to offer a new textboard could easily succeed. This one on the other hand, uses shitty free hosting and fucking SHIICHAN, and all its board topics are better covered by superior, more established textboards. It'll get some spam, maybe an xss exploit or two if lucky, and then die gracelessly.
Personally, I'm fully supportive of the revival of web 1.0 aesthetics.
>>7
It's not web 1.0 without embedded MIDI music, a hit counter, and at least two webrings.
>>7
Web 1.0 aesthetics were just as shitty, overdesigned and poorly optimized as what we have now, just for different reasons and in a different way. You only think it was better because you grew up with it
not loads for me, is it host's problem or just me?
I've been considering doing this for a long time. This reminds me why it's a waste of time and that vanity projects defeat the purpose of anonymous textboards.
Western Ayashii is now online!
I haven't yet translated it. Please refresh the page if you failed the captcha.
>>17
Very, very nice. This could be a source of great freshness in the world of textboards. Thank you for this.
I can't believe it only took 25 years or someone to set up the first english language ayashii clone
>>19
Probably a configuration error of some kind. Considering the software's age, it may not function perfectly on modern servers.
Very nice work you've done, admin!
Some thing that need to be fixed for now:
A suggestion:
NazoBBS is an Ayashii style Japanese board that allows the use of html tags for formatting; the most commonly used ones seem to be marquee tags, font tags, and svg tags. It also allows setting styles on the tags.
Other tags are allowed on NazoBBS, but they aren't as commonly used (or as safe to allow people to use...)
The users of NazoBBS have managed to pull off some very interesting effects using this tag freedom, marquee AA mostly. Users on Sageru (mainly me wwww) have done similar using the exploit there.
It would be nice if you allowed the use of some html tags on here as well, though within reason to avoid anything similar to Sageru's constant BEES. I'd love to post some moving AA tanks like on Nazo.
Can someone explain how to use this to me, please?

Write your message, insert the verification number and then click on the button next to the 題名 field.
>>24
The verification numbers are all messed up, I try to guess at what they are the best I can but it just says the post code is broken.
>>25
To me they appear like this https://i.imgur.com/DF02JlV.jpg and when I posted (two times) it worked.
Guess the person behind the site will need to tweak a few things before everything will be fully functional.
If AA and the captcha aren't displaying properly, try setting your font to Osaka-mono. Ayashii style boards do NOT use MS Pgothic.
So, I have figured it out why the image was not displaying. It was a cgi-bin file protection by HH. I transferred all files to /bbs/ and images should properly work now.

Thanks man.
Cool!
How come so much of the site gets displayed by random gibberish characters? Just look at it browsing by contributors.

Encoding issues, I mentioned them in >>22, the script only declares encoding on the front page and not the rest of it. Ideally, the script should either declare Japanese encoding or switch to Unicode. With the translation done, switching to Unicode would probably be ideal.
For now, just set your browser's encoding to Japanese.
I found a newer version of the script with more options.

Holy shittttt!!!
Man, I love you. I changed to new one.
Are you going to enable images again?
Would it be possible to restore all the posts you deleted when the software was updated? If you wipe posts too often you'll stop a community from forming.
>>35 I don't think restoration works like that.
Besides, its not like these purges are gonna happen too often after a bit. Just wait until the software is set up to be as yasutake wants and it'll be smooth sailing.
>>35
No, unfortunately. I deleted all old files in excitement (;´Д`)
>>34
I'll keep it as a textboard. So, I won't be allowing images directly be posted. But, I have an UPLOADER already set up in my host, which will allow anyone to upload any file upto a size limit. I haven't translated the BBS yet, so will post the link to uploader later.
>Just wait until the software is set up to be as yasutake wants
lol. it would have been better to wait in the first place. i definitely don't want to visit now until this thread says that everything is all set
>>37 What do you mean not directly posted?
We're just gonna paste the URLs for external images at the end of our posts? Or do you mean enabling something like <img>?
Thanks for translating most of the text again, admin-kun.
>>40 No problem man.
>>39 You can use the URL field for posting the links.
STRANGE UPLOADER IS HERE! ヽ(^ω^)ノ
