First of all, sage when you are not contributing to the thread. Second of all, this thread is about ayashii/zonaishinai, not kolyma. Please take it somewhere else

And on the topic of Kolyma, which is something i only learned about very recently (in the past month), theres some bad mixed in what seems to otherwise be a fine company. I have read alot about straitjakit and gurochan and have came to the conclusion that you had a mentally ill teen on one end, and a lawsuit-happy nut on the other. With Heyuri, it seems neither of kuz or the original owner were explicitly wrong, and they have both said that it was a hacker that destroyed the site. Kuz didnt hijack the site from the old owner, ever, he literally bought it from him publicly, the old owner himself confirmed this.

Now, about the legal threats, i definitley think he is over zealous and uptight, he needs to relax and realize the internet is not a business meeting, its a playground. Treat it like one. Him and his team of lawyers, paid trolls (literally), bots, etc all need to hit the road.

But other than a egotistical, slightly deranged, wealth-abusing leader, i dont really see anything wrong with kolyma itself, and especially not with ayashii.net.

This doesnt really make sense. I mean, emotionally volatile sure, neet maybe, trademark troll definitley, but the company is most certainly real. There are legal documents, a team of developers on payroll, etc - I seriously doubt a singular crazy neet and "some friends" can "roleplay" an entire business with employees, a small data center, a lawyer, what seems to be an endless number of websites, etc

Why are you trying to epicly refute his point with something there's nothing implying he said? There are multiple people posting here of course.
Anyways, whether or not kuz is serious in his legal threats and dox bounties is really a detail. What matters is that he manages his site and his endeavors to expand as though he runs a serious for-profit business with his trademarks, domain seizures, and paid employee goons and that's faggy. Trying to dominate an independently run portion of the internet for your company and threatening serious legal action for the growth of your network is BAD, obviously no one knows how far kuz wants to push his influence but his actions thus far paint him him as very untrustworthy at best. Maybe its all an autistic delusion and he'll run out of money soon but it doesn't change his pissy ownership.

If ssz started seeing other textboards as financial rivals with that registration as kuz sees many altchans, yeah it would be bad.

Kolyma (or MagNet, as it was originally called), seems to have actually been a normal ISP at some point in eastern russia, and the autistic guy who owns it now is obviously really into this niche, and transformed everything to fit it.

I say this because the original kolyma domain (kolyma.net) shows a png to MagNet, which is a since-closed ISP in magadan/kolyma russia, KolymaNET seems to be its predecessor, and from some digging it was originally owned by a chinese-russian guy called Sergei Durov, and at some point in 2005 he gave the company to Kuznetsov, and through whatever weird turn of events, lead us to here. It seems that now KolymaNET doesnt even work as the ISP it once did, seeing as though kuznetsov moved to the U.S. and he obviously doesnt actually provide internet to that region anymore.

Cont.

The archive.org archives of kolyma.net also coincide with this theory, as there are no more archives in 2005 after kuz inherits the company, and they dont resume until 2 years later, and at that point, the listed adress in the whois is in Omsk, which is where kuz lived at the time. MagNet refers to magadan-net, kolyma seems to be either a rebranding or a new company, though im not sure. But kuz did keep the original "mag-net" logo on the site even after the transfer.

Another interesting thing is that the whois says it belonged to "Hao Lanqing" after the transition, an alias kuz often uses. Some also speculate that this is his real name, and Yuri Kuznetsov is a pseudonym.

Maybe i got a little off-topic here, but i find this all very interesting. Its also weird how a literal internet services provider has turned into a shell company to further his little imageboard/textboard empire.

Also, as of 2018, it no longer says "Internet Services Provider" on the front page, rather "Internet Services Portal"

So, to recap.

A real, actual internet services provider called MagNet, started in 2001, was sold in 2005 to who we now know is Kuznetsov. For whatever reason, kuznetsov abandoned the ISP part of the company, rebrands it as KolymaNET, and uses it to legally protect his first ever imageboard (9channel), after 9channel shuts down he starts expanding to other sites like heyuri, gurochan, etc - leading us to where we are now.

Or at least, from my internet detective work, this is how i see history

What. The. Fuck.

There's a lot of 12chan type of pedophilia on those boards. Saw a picture of a girl no older than 8 looking down a balcony and some sick fuck was recording up her skirt. Was posted and not a single person in a thread of over 15 comments condemned the OP, as if it just happens every day.

Heyuri was okay but then they got rid of the textboards and the fact that Kuz can't get perl working on his new server while still trying to run an online network is just... eh, a sign of incompetence.

Another off putting thing about it is there's just so many fucking sites attached to this network that I can't even feel like I'm doing it justice talking about it when I can't remember what site #128's domain was or what makes any of them different from each other to begin with. Don't even know what domain I saw the pedo shit on, just know it had Kuz's network running it.

I guess he's trying to run the new iichan, but it's the worst way to go about it. iichan was decentralized and was hosted across multiple different volunteer servers with lots of different participants. This is just one dude and apparently a discord cabal.

I just jumped in this thread and gave my opinion on what everybody else was talking about, who are you? And who said anything about transgender people?

I did see fucked up content. I won't call it cp because it's not nudity, but anybody with eyes would know that it was borderline pedo content, I don't know what context it is appropriate to post pictures of upskirt underage girls panties while they're not looking.

Anyway, those are my personal reasons for not using those sites.
