One animu I watch had such dramatic overreaction to incest, while I'm just sitting there thinking "what's the big deal?". Do people actually give a crap? I don't know, I think racemixing or faggotry is much worse.
I never had a sister so I don't know how people in question actually feel about it. I wonder if it's some sort of forced meme, where media paints a different picture of public opinion compared to what public opinion actually is.

Of course it was always taboo for most of humanity, but before you ask, no, that doesn't mean that I personally think incest is the ultimate sin or anything like that.
Can you elaborate on the "most of humanity" part? One example of negative look on incest I know of is that one guy in bible that did wrong everything that can be done wrong, and ended up drunkraped by his two daughters, giving start to the two hostile tribes. Almost as if the makers of bible wanted to say "hey suckers, your grandad was a loser and you are all descendants of fatherfuckers". Pretty childish for such a famous work, but makes for effective propaganda I guess.

He seems to be asking why's it's a basic off-limit behaviour and how you came to have the feeling you have. For me it's a repulsive idea, any kind of sexual thought of a relative makes me feel gross. Which is kind of interesting, a physical reaction caused by a mechanism we evolved maybe to avoid the kind of problems and birth defects that can be caused by incestuous relationships? It's also interesting to think how the royal families pump incestuous blood round their bodies too
If I had to think of a situation where incest would be kinda ok is if it's between two males of similar age. Since there's no risk of pregnancy. Still think it's pretty wrong though.
