All Marx ever did was point out labor-power was turned into a commodity by what would become the capitalist class. He didn't write in a book that "you had to sell your labor-power to the state" (that was Stalin to be frank).

I'm very much against the idea of communism being the state, because it goes 100% against the core ideas that Marx, Engels, and even Lenin brought to the front.

The only way one can avoid repeating the mistakes of the USSR is to understand the true nature of commodity production, its existence on a global scale, and the rejection of bourgeois charlequinnism.
