Written by fucking TREVOR. Lynxchan? Is that what you want, 19 side catalogs and the ugliest default front-end yet created? Kareha and Wakaba remain the patrician choice even after all these years. They just work - so let us appreciate them.
I greatly appreciate Kareha and Wakaba, but I don't see reason to shit on vichan and tinyib. They're fine.
Lynxchan and jschan can burn in hell and I instinctively avoid every community that uses them.

It needs a non-OCRable captcha, then it could be used on websites larger than this one. For instance, Freech ran Kareha for like a year (it became an "End Times Imageboard" for some reason) and the last 6th months was just infinite spam of the message "rodent ignore" every 0.5 seconds by some guy with a script. Freech admin thought spam was free speech and so didn't try to stop it, but nevertheless.
kareha and wakaba were the foundations of my foray into web design many many years ago. neat toys to play with. i definitely appreciate them.

Zero channel plus? Most of the Japanese 2ch-style scripts aren't actually too bad if you can translate it. In fact, I use one of them myself.
kareha doesn't look too bad if you're not looking for an exact 2channel clone but it's not the BEST imo
