Today is 4-ch's 20th birthday. I started this site as a teenager back on the 1st of November 2004, using a server shared with a friend and board software that an IRC friend (WAHa.06x36) wrote. Fortunately it did not become too big, too dramatic, or painful and instead has become a much slower going, quaint little space on the internet that never forgot about Eternal September, Tanasinn, or most importantly, mittens.

I am thankful for 4-ch, even though I haven't been here for as long as some of you have, and don't access it as much anymore. 4-ch introduced me to a heap of Japanese internet culture and I would not be the same person I am today without it.
