If anyone is thinking of attempting to grasp Russian, go for it! It's extremely easy despite what you hear.
All the genders and cases and number and blahblah, it's really difficult. I don't care what anyone says. D:
You don't have any chances to learn Russian. Even if you learn the base, you can't handle the extremely hard grammatic rules. Even the most of Russians haven't learned most of their language: they can speak right, but their way of writing have terrible mistakes.
У тебя нет никаких шансов изучить русский. Даже если ты осилишь базу, ты не осилишь очень сложную грамматику. Даже русские толком не знают свой язык: они говорят правильно, но пишут с ужасающими ошибками.
I am Russian and I can confirm that my native language is extremely difficult. It is easier for me to learn English that to master all the rules of Russian punctuation.

While I can't speak a word of Russian, I can use the Cyrillic just fine. Sometimes I use it to encrypt instructions for myself.
As far as grammar goes, is it as complex as Latin? By that I mean, does it have as many verb or noun endings for gender/number/case/person/tense/voice/mood or whatever? And does it seem fragmented like English, with all the stupid and pointless little exceptions?
Ukrainian is like Russian but this language is easier
