Esperanto thread!
I'm told that this book is the best in terms of how easy it is.

There's a youtuber I like to watch who reviews language learning books. He's done a few esperanto books.

Here are two video reviews of those books:

Not specifically esperanto but there is an awesome program called anki which is a flashcard program that figures out when the best time to review something when it is best to memorise it, plus there are tons of pre-made decks for esperanto

and of course there is stuff like lernu and kurso de esperanto, and the sidebar in the esperanto subredddit has a bunch or resources too.

some crazy folks actually went and made exactly the kind of content that motivates me to learn a language: a yuri visual novel

Ah, heard about that one. But if something is on stream it usually means its censored to shit, so I'm not that tempted to bother.

>>8 can't be censored if there's nothing to censor in the first place, though maybe that means the content itself is too tame for your wild lifestyle

How do I say "nigger" in esperanto? Nigero?

i think the correct term is "nigrulo" or "negro" but it doesn't really have the same punch to it. i saw this on wiktionary which i found kind of funny:

>negristo (“a slave merchant of Negros”)

Why would anyone spend time learning a useless language?

Yeah but why not learn something useful like Latin or Japanese or Old Norse or something? Esperanto is actually useless has no literature to speak of beyond translations and you can only play patches of Touhou games in it. Seems like a huge waste of time.
