i have an ipod dock, through which i use an IR remote and connect it to my stereo. i usually keep my ipod in a case, however, which prevents it from fitting into the dock. now what i don't want to do is remove the ipod from its case every time i want to use the dock functions.

so what i'm after is some kind of extension cable for the ipod dock connector - i thought there would be a million companies in china churning out such things, as there are for every other nearly-useless vaguely-ipod-related product, but as it turns out i couldn't find one on ebay! do these things really, really not exist? or am i just not looking hard enough?
