Maybe she did see him with her at the time and subsequently realised who it was, but at the time neither she nor anyone else mentioned it IIRC. I discovered that blog a few days after it started and watched as the story grew (how she knew him, had met his mother, sister etc). EO's name was never mentioned, and this was at a time when she was posting on a daily basis that she had seen him, of he was out running or whatever.
