I promise we make rule 2 (m)
>>3 has violated rule 8 by complimenting >>1 instead of >>2.
>>4 has violated rules 6, 7 and 8.
In accordance with rule 4, both posts shall be disregarded entirely.
I hereby make rule 9 immutable.
>>2 has good taste in shirts.
In accordance with rule 5, The current list of rules is:
>>4
Sorry, I'm on a mobile platform. I meant propose, not promise. Also forgot my number.
Proposed: Game ends on 999, rule 2 becomes (m)
I change a rule:
7. (m) If the number is greater than the previous poster's, they must mock/insult them.
to
7. (m) If the number (n) is greater than the previous poster's, they must grab the nearest available printed media and find the nth page, the nth line and the nth word. They must incorporate that word to insult the previous poster, without giving clear indication of which word was gathered from this rule.
>>7 is so handsome, women mistake him for Boris Karloff.
The sight of >>8 makes me want to throw up.
Easier word than I expected, considering I picked up a kanji dictionary. Thankfully page 3 was still the preface.
I hereby make rule 4 mutable, because I believe we need harsher punishments for those who break the rules.
>>9's parents never went to college.
I hereby revise rule 4 to: 4. (m) If a rule has been found to be violated in a post, the person(s) responsible for the post cannot play the game for four turns in a state of "probation." The statue of limitations for committing a crime is one turn: that is, in order to be placed into probation, the post directly beneath the offending move must state how the preceding poster broke the rules. If one or more turns have taken place since a player has committed a crime, then he cannot be found guilty.
It's awfully long. If someone would like to split the rule or make rules which explicitly define punishments or kinds of crimes, that would be appreciated. Without further ado, the rules:
>>10
I like the statute of limitations idea. You seem like a cunning fellow!
New rule:
11. (m) Newly added rules must not exceed 300 characters in length.
>>12 really changed the way I think about the world!
I change rule 8 to
"8. (m) Game ends when thread hits >>999. Every post number divisible by 30 is hereby appointed appointed "Judge." If a contradiction in the rules is called into question, the next Judge must rule on the case, and his or her interpretation will be law. Until the Judge rules, the rule with the lower number will take priority over the rule with the higher number."
Note that this is more than 300 characters, but Rule 11.(m) only applies to newly added rules, so my move is legal.
>>13's hair pleasantly reminds me of cinnamon cocoa on a quiet snowy morning.
>>14 violated the rules by complimenting the wrong poster. >>14 is now on probation for 4 turns.
I hereby add rule 12: "Each player starts with 10 DQNcoins. A player adds their number (n) to their total DQNcoins and posts how many coins they have."
Here are the current rules:
4a. (m) Posters who reference the wrong post within 3 minutes of the previous poster are exempt from rule 4.
5. (i) Posts ending in 5 or 0 must list all present rules (so we can keep track).
6. (m) With each post, the player must roll a six sided die and post the resultant number in their name field.
7. (m) If the number (n) is greater than the previous poster's, they must grab the nearest available printed media and find the nth page, the nth line and the nth word. They must incorporate that word to insult the previous poster, without giving clear indication of which word was gathered from this rule.
8. (m) If the number is less than or equal to the previous poster's, they must complement them.
9. (m) Game ends when thread hits >>999, more than 50 rules are created and/or a tautological stalemate between two immutable rules are made.
10. (m) Posts whose post number is a prime number must be written in E-Prime.
11. (m) Newly added rules must not exceed 300 characters in length.
12. (m) Each player starts with 10 DQNcoins. With each post a player adds their number (n) to their total DQNcoins and posts how many coins they have.
I now have 13 DQNcoins.
>>15's parents must have raised him to be a blabbering fool since he added a "rule 4a" into the list. Fortunately, rule 5 doesn't specify anything about unrelated fake rules mixed in along with the list of real rules, so it's not a violation. I'll forgive him since he's me. Let's just pretend that rule 4a was never written.
Anyway, I make rule 6 immutable.
I now have 19 DQNcoins.
>>17 is not-too-bright. He is actually pretty dumb.
I hereby change rule 4 as follows:
4. (m) If a rule has been found to be violated in a post, the person(s) responsible for the post cannot play the game for four turns in a state of "probation." only if caught by the next following poster. Any changes made by the offender are implemented the opposite way around. If this change is impossible then the changes must be ignored. The poster who caught the offender must announce the update.
Note: part (a) of rule 4 no longer exists.
I'm a proud owner of 14 DQNcoins.
14. (m) You get one DQNcoin for every rule you break.
I got 18 DQNcoins
>>19 is one hoopy frood!
I add rule 15:
I now have 14 DQNcoins.
>>21 seems to be a decent individual.
I edit rule n4 to "Each post must be at least 10 minutes apart during daytime or 45 minutes apart during nighttime. Nighttime begins at 0000 UTC and finishes at 1000 UTC.
I now have 10 DQNcoins + 1 for breaking rule n4.
>>22 is hideous like a piece of shit vomited by another piece of shit.
I amend rule 5 to: "Posts that violate rules may be entirely disregarded. The first poster to point out the violation may assign a punishment to the offending poster. Accusations can only be made within two posts of the offending post."
I now have 25 DQNcoins.
>>23 is a fucking disgrace.
He didn't post his number per rule 8. His post is to be disregarded as stated in his own rule. He gets only 1 DQNcoin for breaking one rule (to a total of 20?). His changes to rule 5 are reverted back to >>18:
If a rule has been found to be violated in a post, the person(s) responsible for the post cannot play the game for four turns in a state of "probation." only if caught by the next following poster. Any changes made by the offender are implemented the opposite way around. If this change is impossible then the changes must be ignored. The poster who caught the offender must announce the update.
On a side note: >>20 DIDN'T reflect changes to rules properly. He also switched order of rules around at his own will (e.g. rule 4 was rule 13, rule 5 was rule 4, rule 13 was rule 11, etc). Hopefully >>25 will revise this list.
Rule 2 is now mutable.
I now have 16 DQNcoins.
>>24 has good taste in computer games.
I hereby remove the former rule 12. (m) Posts whose post number is a prime number must be written in E-Prime. Nobody adhered to it anyway.
Note that I have also rearranged the rules somewhat.
I now have 24 DQNcoins.
>>25 is so tardy that his local library wasted all paper on printing return fines.
I change rule 2 to the following:
Rules marked as immutable (i) can be changed or removed at any time. Rules marked mutable (m) must be made immutable (i) before they can be modified or removed.
I now have 21 DQNcoins.
>>26-San is a very knowledgeable anime connoisseur.
I change rule 3 to say: All rules, when created, start as immutable. Mutability of a rule must be proposed by a poster under fusianasan and then condoned by three different posters with three different fusianasan strings.
>>27 is a savvy operator with a clear understanding of nomic politics.
However, he has violated the rules. >>27 failed to post his balance of DQNCoins in compliance with rule 11.(m). He or she is now under probation, as per rule 4.(m) and can not post for four turns.
I amend rule 6:
"6.(i) With each post, the player must roll a six sided die and post the resultant number in their name field. If the name field is occupied by fusianasan, a name, or a tripcode in order to comply with another rule, then the player must post the result of their dice roll at the top of their post instead."
I now have 14 DQNcoins. I would welcome any attempt to reinstate >>27's change.
