As I have not mentioned, I am hispanic. I generally am not in the mood to be reffered to by certain epithets. However, with some friends, depending on how much previous understanding I have of their prejudices, I'm less inclined to get angry.
People seem to forget that part of how people are able to tell whether or not the comment is truly racist, involves body language, and often background information on the person in question.
For example, in all seriousness, who knows for sure that my cracker comment wasn't in fueled by actual racism? If you don't know me, how do you know for sure?
