I think that steps beyond the line of just being nice.
The only two viable options I see coming from that is simply
Whenever I'm placed in your position, as lame as it is, I play mind games to try and figure out the other person. But this may be a little more difficult if theres a language barrier, and as always, mind games do cause some sort of problems.
If you can manage to be upfront, you can just say it plainly like "Listen, the previous relationships I've been in before weren't serious blhabblahablah" or "I want this to be a serious relationship, I don't want to just have a fling".
Of course, the last time I was so upfront, I ended up scaring the girl (Even though she apparently wanted to be with me??), but I also implied this on another girl at the same time, a helluva lot lighter, and it worked.
So you know, it can go both ways.
Whats her specifics? It all depends on the girl.
Cute, nice? High class? Extremely pretty? Brand Names? Ganguro? :D
