I am not >>7, but I agree that communication is the key. It just can't solve everything. There's this mental rolodex that we all have and different things mean totally different things for different people. The guy from this story may be a jerk, may be a good guy who's trying to make her not like him, may be thinking that she doesn't like him as a guy but only a friend and that pisses him off, or may be a jerk again. I honestly doubt that he will admit what's bugging him and there's definitely something bugging him.. normal people do have jerk episodes but always for a reason. So, >>1 I'd say just ask him but try to not reveal (at least not too obviously) that you like him.
