(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ If "prostitute" is the world's oldest profession, the second oldest must be "soldier". Not long after the first female chimp figured out that she could sell her pussy for bananas, the first male chimp must have figured out that he could beat up other chimps and take their bananas. And thus, "the economy" was born.

(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ MMORPGs and ARPGs(Diablo, PoE, Grim Dawn) are actually just the same genre from different perspectives. In an ARPG you play as the raid boss and in an MMO you play as one of the hundred faceless mooks who pops up out of a barrel or whatever. .

I've been thinking all day long and all I've come to realize is I don't have anything meaningful or profound at all to say. I guess the most meaningful thing I can say is going against what I'm doing right now and that is that it's okay to not comment on everything you want to comment on.

(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ pretty sure the oldest profession is some sort of farmer, it makes no sense to accumulate perishable goods like "bananas" or use them as a makeshift trading currency, since it has no lasting value. But it makes a world of sense to "own" farmable land and require "soldiers" to enforce ownership. Indeed, agriculture must come first before any economy can even begin to exist, thus the first workers that could have plausibly being employed in any meaningful sense are farmers.

(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ A rarely acknowledged aspect of the U.S. government endorsement of building out suburbs in the postwar years is its role in making nuclear war less effective or at least more expensive for anyone who'd like to try.

(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ Such extravagance didn't fit the Second World's doctrine nor budget, but they understood the need for nuclear deterrence. Ironically, their planned economies made it more cost effective and sensible to spend the labor on nuclear weapons instead of better housing.

(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ The Ы letter. Any language lacking vowel "Ы" can't be considered complete. "Ыыы" means laughing in Russian online lingo, its length might vary depending on the poster's amusement. The only close, and, perhaps, better known approximation is Japanese "wwwww" that does, indeed, stand out next to hieroglyphs. The huge difference between "www" construct and "ыыы", however, is that the latter is natural to the language and can be easily pronounced - and often gets so. Interestingly, both "W" and "Ы" are located next to each other in standard keyboard layouts, "Ы" taking the place of "S" on QWERTY. Coincidence? I think not. The only downside to the letter "Ы" is that for a bystander unfamiliar with it, its shape might resemble "bl" (BL, short for "boys' love", also known as "Yaoi").

(″・ิ_・ิ)っ-̾ "Risk–Reward ratio"—a sublime imperfect example of the euphonic principle in common with "ablaut reduplication". Like many prehistory ponderers, I wonder what about the cultural milieu of PIEs led to this, but I worry about the vaguely nonzero chance those crafty Caucasians if asked would simply recite "I-E-A-I-A-I-O".
