How this game works is that we have a map of the world (blank one here:
http://i.imgur.com/SIEou.jpg) with certain countries grouped together into unions. Each person playing takes control of one union and gives it a name (e.g. Kimchi Alliance, New Manchurian Liberation Cause, that sort of thing). Your objective is to TAKE OVER THE WORLD by any means possible!
To do things, just post a comment saying what you're trying to do and I'll say what effect it has. Examples would be attack [place], enforce conscription, drill for oil at [place] and export it to [place], research mind control. Non-serious commands are fine too.
If you're playing, post once in this thread to say so so that I know how many unions to set up. You may wish to post with a temporary tripcode for obvious reasons. I'm looking for somewhere between 4 and 8 players, so I might invite some VIPPERs...
The Oceanic Union would like to sell 2 nukes to the Citadel of Nurupo for 20,000,000 barrels of oil, then use half the assets gained from this oil acquisition fund a readiness campaign for the incoming asteroid impact: robust evacuation plans, quick-response technology to detect oncoming disaster, etc. The other half go to supporting the military forces in Indonesia.
We hold off on implementing Project AWESOMELASERS for now. Instead we put some of our top scientists to work researching how possible it would be to alter Project AWESOMELASERS to become an asteroid defense system.
>>105
If we destroy the asteroid, it could just mean that the flying shards of it hit everyone BUT Andyland. If we let its course continue uninterrupted, we not only lose our biggest enemy, but we also gain fertile soil. Andyland is at its weakest ever and it doesn't make sense for us to waste our warheads to save our biggest enemy. If you're really sure that this is the best way to go about doing things and everyone else wants to save Andyland, I have no objections...... but we shouldn't be so hasty! This is the big chance that we have been waiting for.
I also suggest you evacuate your Americans into Eastern Russia. They would be safest from the asteroid there.
>>105
Only interested in participating if a rough-and-tumble protagonist has to sacrifice himself while a rock ballad plays. The rock ballad is key.
Counterproposal: would it be possible to nudge the comet with nuclear bombs into landing on the site of the lost continent of Moe? The impact could dredge up clues.
>>107
No. TOGETHER we can blow it to DUST.
What a hassle. I don't even know why I own America.
Okay, I give the call for the evacuation and then have them migrate down to inner China.
Also I'll help you in your construction of that wall.
All my people are already away from the coast so I'm cool.
>>109
Forgot trip.
My VC was Focking.
Use your tripcodes for christ's sake people!
If I'm counting correctly, it's three hours to impact.
The Coördinating Committee had a vote and decided we are pro-asteroid. I think it started as a joke or something but it accidentally got a majority of members and since we're a democratic centralist party there's no backsies. Good luck with whatever you guys are planning though!
Should probably start evacuating cities along the Atlantic coast. Douala, Luanda, Cape Town? Might be a good idea.
Update to the asteroid situation:
Analysis has confirmed that there will be a group of asteroids (not just one), of which the largest will land in the approximate centre of the North Atlantic Ocean. Most of the others will burn up in the atmosphere, but other relatively large asteroids are predicted to land in or near the Indian Ocean and both North and South America.
The asteroids are composed of a very soft rock, which will do relatively little damage but will leave a lot of dust in the atmosphere. There have been some very... unusual readings on the composition of the main asteroid in particular.
>>103Scandinavia has been completely free of your forces for a while now. Constructing a wall the entire length of Eastern Europe would be infeasible and largely ineffective, especially considering the ease of use of explosives and aeroplanes.
>>105Seeing as it is not one but numerous asteroids, you will require a large number of nukes. The possible outcomes of such an endeavour are completely unknown.
>>106The citadel thanks you for your custom. Project AWESOMELASERS has yet to be implemented and therefore cannot help you. At the same time, no significant impacts are predicted within Oceania so you're probably okay.
>>109Evacuation of United States civilians to China has begun, however many refuse to leave their homes, despite the obvious danger. At the very least, most people on the East Coast - the area most likely to be hit by tsunamis - have moved away.
>>113Evacuation is difficult at such short notice, but your well trained military proves able and efficient.
I cast Holy.
BOOM!
I'm far too tipsy for a proper update; wait until tomorrow.
Sorry about that. Updated map:
http://i.imgur.com/um2Nc.jpg
There have been four major impacts, denoted by Xs on the map. The larger the X, the larger the impact. Tsunamis are shown by red lines. Double red lines show the most severely affected areas.
The asteroids have left a huge amount of dust in the air. Daylight is considerably dimmer worldwide and, until it settles, all flights are grounded and it is unsafe for anything - including nuclear missiles - to reach normal flying altitude.
The largest asteroid has SOMEHOW actually ended up creating a small island in the middle of the Atlantic. Analysis has confirmed that all four asteroids' cores are composed of exceptionally pure uranium, ideal for making nuclear weapons. Two have sunk to the ocean bed and are almost irrecoverable.
The island in the Atlantic is both unclaimed and unnamed. The asteroid in North America technically belongs to Grey's World.
Someone should nuke it
I would like to begin a program to increase fertility in Russian women. Sex tourism shall be legalized on the condition that both parties are checked for sexually transmitted diseases as well as genetic defects prior to childbirth. Also, I would like the scientists of Espeonland to research the human aging / growth process. We could certainly use more people in this country as well see a bit more green flowing in. Related to that: I'm also interested in the availability of slaves, mercenaries, etc. Are any countries currently selling human life on the market?
An appropriate number of navy, army and marine forces in Indonesia mobilize to aid areas in Oceania affected by the tsunami or dust. Hikkikomoris throughout the nation celebrate the dim daylight by staying inside and playing video games as usual. Some naval ships are temporarily converted to cargo ships to transport vital goods (such as Vegemite) that are normally shipped by plane.
My meat-space town would have been totally owned by that.
Anyway. I send out some to my Navy from America's Gulf of Mexico to claim that is that asteroid island.
And I put my Americans to work mining that asteroid that landed in America.
I take my sweetheart into a photo booth and get some cute photos taken to treasure forever and ever
Take advantage of the dust to launch surprise attacks at sea and on land.
Get a desert supply train going to the boys in Khartoum.
Also what happened to the guarana crop? You cut yourself off with the whole meteor thing before telling. This is very important to my long-term strategy.
>>118That sounds like a very bad idea.
>>119Your birth rate increases slightly; you'll no doubt have more soldiers available to you in eighteen years time. Research has begun on treatments for aging. Unfortunately, There are no human trafficking organisations large enough to significantly supplement your army.
>>120Help arrives too late for the most severely affected people as military aid has to come all the way from Indonesia, and without the luxury of air travel. Nonetheless, they make it there eventually. Emergency supplies are now being distributed.
>>121You have no military whatsoever in the US, so troops must be shipped in all the way from China. They will then have to travel the entire breadth of the country before getting on more ships and, finally, landing on the unnamed asteroid island. Unsurprisingly, they have not yet made it there.
>>122D'aww, you look so cute together!
>>123Your surprise attacks on land are remarkably successful: you now have the entirety of Somalia and Southern Sudan. Your attacks at sea take out a few patrol ships, but the bulk of the Citadel's navy is currently stationed in the Red Sea, where you will be unable to launch a surprise attack.
Your guarana crop WAS coming along quite nicely but is now covered in dust and severely lacking sunlight. Harvest prospects are not promising.
In response to the attack by the MLMLBNPLF, the Citadel of Nurupo has decided to cut its losses and withdraw all ground forces from Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan, instead focussing on reinforcing the borders of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The five suitcase nukes which began construction at
>>100 are complete. Two have immediately been sent out to Khartoum, targeting military bases where possible. The attack is quite successful; a significant of the MLMLBNPLF's forces in the city have been affected, but there is little permanent damage.
I send some of my Air Forces to do a quick bombing of Andyland military bases, and then go fly to America for patrols.
rips a bong

>>125The asteroid dust is predicted to clear to the point of allowing unimpeded flight in 24 hours.
>>126Oughtn't you to be commanding your forces in Russia? They've been sitting around in Moscow awaiting orders for weeks now.
http://4-ch.net/dqn/kareha.pl/1314324451/651Due to a freak exploding pregnant reindeer incident (
http://www.thelocal.se/40754/20120510/) in Northern Europe, the river Danube has been filled with litres of reindeer blood, staining it with a noticeable pinkish hue.
I'd like to send those troops, now well-rested and full of pep after their fun in Moscow, in to invade Kazakhstan.
Also, see under the map in the "wars" section? It makes it sound like I'm starting fights with everyone, which isn't the case... I'd like to get along with everyone, I just want to take their land too...
While my navy has presumably claimed the island by now, I also have my blimps form a circle around it. Using their giant side LED panels the form a giant rotating Giko-neko with the words "GO AWAY AND DIE" which slowly rotates around the island like a giant banner.
Secure all the areas abandoned by Nurupo.
Position most of my fleet just outside the Red Sea.
Start building surface-based anti-ship missiles.
After dealing with the disaster aftermath (disaftermath?) I continue to fortify the military in Indonesia. We may go down someday, but we're gonna make it annoying as hell!
On a more exciting note, we take advantage of the dust cover to implement Project Awesome Lasers all around our borders, focusing on Indonesia. Bring it on if you dare, MLMLBNPLF.
Moe/Mu was just a fluke. The Aztech Corporation would to invest all of its people and assets to advance space technology to a point where it is possible for the Nazca 5000 tribesmen to ride a comet to the depths of space.
No earthly human shall be spared from the gruelling preparations that we collectively must see to.
Updated map:
http://i.imgur.com/5SaKA.jpg
>>128You make a good advance, cutting through the Russian countryside with little difficulty. You have now entered the West of Kazakhstan.
>>129You have indeed successfully taken the island. It is still unnamed - unless "GO AWAY AND DIE" was its name?
>>130Encountering almost no resistance at all, you occupy the abandoned territories. The Citadel of Nurupo launches an all-or-nothing naval attack against the MLMLBNPLF's forces around the Horn of Africa, but are caught in somewhat of a bottleneck around the mouth of the Red Sea. After a protracted battle, the remainder of the Citadel's forces make it out into open water, where they remain on patrol.
Your ships have retreated further down the coast. Despite the initial advantage of the Citadel's extra ships requisitioned from India, the two forces are now more or less evenly matched. Your development and construction of anti-ship missiles has begun.
>>131Indonesia is about as well fortified as it's possible to be. Project AWESOMELASERS has been implemented around your entire territory. Coverage is somewhat thinner around Australia due to the large perimeter and lack of major settlements. Your union - Indonesia in particular - is now effectively impervious to any sort of nuclear attack.
>>132Construction of a new space base in South America has begun. Resources and manpower are still abundant so progress is quick. You should be ready to launch things into space soon enough, but "riding comets" remains a long way off.
>>133
Yes.
How goes my new recruitment of new recruits?
Also I begin to start expanding the stealth fighters and stealth bombers in my air force to make even more.
Can I send troops from Canada and Alaska in to take the unclaimed land in western Russia?
Invade Egypt with the proximate goal of capturing the Aswan Dam. If that is successful, we very strongly recommend that Nurupo forces either evacuate the Nile Delta or learn to swim.
>>132
I read: No earthly human shall be spared from the gruelling penetrations that we collectively must see to.
I also invoke a draft in America.
Updated map:

>>134,138By "yes" do you mean that the island is called "GO AWAY AND DIE"?
Recruitment is initially very slow. After the Mumbai incident, the people have lost confidence in you. Conscription in the US bolsters your forces significantly, but the new soldiers are poorly trained, unwilling and suffer low morale.
Construction has begun on additional stealth fighters.
>>135I'm guessing you mean Eastern Russia? The land is not unclaimed, it's just uninhabited. Seeing as this has caused a lot of confusion, I'm just going to show it as still belonging to Espeonland, but please remember that there is nobody there.
In other news, your invasion of Kazakhstan is going well. You will probably have control of the entire country in a matter of days.
>>136Your forces manage to pierce the Egyptian border and take control of the Aswan Dam, but are in serious danger of being cut off from behind. The Citadel has received your warning and has begun evacuations of essential personnel from the Nile Delta.
>>137Pffhahaha.
I organize and put on Militaristic like USO shows to boost morale across all of Grey's World, the main theme being to avenge the lost innocent civilians or the Mumbai Massacre.
I want to play Super Smash bros with Grey and Nullpo and Andy. I get to be Fox
^ Oops
Firm up the areas we've already captured, move small garrisons into areas abandoned by Nurupo. No large forces, wouldn't want Nurupo to do the same thing I threatened. Are Nurupo forces in the desert or have they evacuated the theater? If the former, start harassing supply convoys by air.
>>144
To clarify, large forces south of Aswan, but not north.
>>139
I apologize for interrupting. I looked at the map and the list of the names of the players entered at the bottom were sufficient to make me giggle. Oh /dqn/, you so silly.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled global conquest.
Updated map:
http://i.imgur.com/8kvBT.jpg
>>140The campaign is largely successful, playing to the strengths of American patriotism. Morale is improving steadily.
>>141The Citadel gracefully accepts your proposal, on the condition that I am allowed to play as Samus.
>>143For your benefit, I have shaded Espeonland's territory according to military density. The darker the area, the greater the average number of troops per square kilometer per day. Pink means either uninhabited or unoccupied by military forces.
Currently, their strongest area is St Petersberg. They are keeping up the front line around Moscow, but have so far been unable to cut off the city from behind.
The rest of Espeonland's forces are centred in Southern Russia, composed largely of troops which have retreated from Kazakhstan. The military is spread relatively thin between these two areas.
The vast majority of your forces from North America were deployed back at
>>35, and eventually lost at
>>62. Canada was bombed very severely at
>>39, so your North American military is practically non-existent. Should you wish to occupy Eastern Russia, you will have to use additional forces from Europe.
>>144Your reinforcements arrive too late. Upon realising your aim, the Citadel sends in strike forces from all sides, driving back the MLMLBNPLF from the Aswan Dam. If this seems unfair, remember that the entire military of the abandoned territories in Africa were sent to reinforce the borders of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Nurupo's military in Egypt is densest along the border, with only the bare minimum deployed in the Nile Valley. You are successful in picking off a few supply convoys, prompting stronger anti-air accompaniment in future.
>>146You needn't apologise! This thread isn't exclusively for the people playing; you're more than welcome to make silly little comments like
>>137. I'm glad that this thread made you happy, anyway.
The people of the Oceanic Union sit back and continue to leisurely self-support, chomping on popcorn while reading about distant wars in the news.
Our soldiers don't just sit around, though! We spend billions of dollars on a vast training program for all our military forces, hiring military experts to and building advanced combat simulators. We will be ready when war comes!
I flood the media of all my lands with calls for enlistment to avenge the Mumbai Disaster.
Move some troops to Eritrea.
>>153
Look for me in IRC in the next few days.

On the map here I have draw my current action.
There I will utilize my stealth bombers to make continuous carpet bombing runs there for three days straight. Once done a run the bombers make a U-turn, head back to China, where they re-fuel and restock on bombs. And are quickly set out for more carpet bombings.
I send in all of my land forces to the area >>156 attacked after they fly out!
We must be strong and honor the memories of those who have fallen.. my son's death will not be in vain!

Grey was the winner of the Super Smash Bros game. Andy came second, followed by Sir "Uh Oh", and, lastly, ( ˃ ˂).
>>132The Naztech space base has been completed. You can now launch manned flights as far as the moon, and unmanned probes as far as Mars or Venus.
>>150Your army is currently the second best trained in the world, after the MLMLBNPLF's. Your union is by far the best defended. Were you, hypothetically speaking, to engage in warfare, you would stand a high chance of winning.
>>151Unfortunately, you have already enlisted about as many troops as you're going to get. If you were feeling particularly desperate, you could enforce conscription in women.
>>152The troops are relocated without issue.
>>156,157Your bombing takes Andyland's forces by surprise, forcing them to retreat out of Eastern Kazakhstan. Your two armies coordinate well with each other, with Espeonland finishing off many of the remaining troops. You have retaken the capital, Astana - which, I might add, was nuked quite a while back and is therefore not necessarily of much strategic value.
Meanwhile, the Citadel has planted one of our five remaining nuclear bombs into the Aswan Dam, such that if it does not receive a radio signal from our headquarters in Saudi Arabia at least once per hour, it will detonate. This will not only flood the Nile Valley, but irradiate the land as well.
Most of our military has withdrawn from Egypt, and is being moved East to resume the proposed invasion of India.
I guess that's effective at keeping us out of the Nile Valley and Delta, but putting 80 million Egyptian civilians at risk of anyone with a signal jammer is a little extreme. Whatever, not my business.
Troops at the Egyptian border are to try to push into the Eastern Desert, keeping mostly along the Red Sea coast.
We're also going to attempt a landing from Eritrea to Yemen.
More space technology.
More space technology.
I throw a nation wide party for our new victory.
Updated map:
http://i.imgur.com/2C0h1.jpg
>>159Your troops make good progress into the Eastern Desert, advancing quickly and, initially, completely unnoticed. Supply trains (which are particularly important in the desert) are likely to be quite vulnerable.
The landing from Eritrea to Yemen is likewise successful. The mobilisation is noticed early on, however the Saudi Arabian forces are poorly organised and hence your troops make their landing before Nurupo's forces can intercept them. You manage to take the capital, Sana'a, with little bloodshed.
The Citadel has sent the majority of its naval forces into the Red Sea, stationed near or between Eritrea and Yemen. We have also bombed many of the ports on both sides of the sea, with relative success. This will render any attempt at a retreat slow and difficult.
>>160Having pushed huge quantities of funding into your space program, you now have two major space bases and can launch manned spacecraft as far as the asteroid belt and unmanned probes anywhere within the solar system. You can launch nukes from space (although this will still not be able to bypass the Oceanic Union's Project AWESOMELASERS).
>>163The Citadel offers its most sincere congratulations.
Meanwhile, we have sent approximately 40% of our military into India (with a further 15% on standby in the Middle East). We have claimed Surat and Mumbai, again requisitioning any available naval craft and sending them back to the Red Sea. There are significantly fewer gained this time than last.
We have bought off or killed most government officials in the cities under our control, and have been paying children and young people (who are unaware of the danger) to go into the irradiated ruins of Mumbai and salvage whatever military equiptment is left over from Grey's World's retreat.
Eh, two weeks without any response?
I propose a universal peace treaty and demilitarization with territory distributed uti possidetis.
As First Minister for Scotland, we launch all of our Trident nuclear stock from submarines leaving the Clyde Naval Base on everybody.
