In response to the war, the Citadel of Nurupo immediately recalls its navy and stations them in the Red Sea and around East Africa. Our meagre air force is currently patrolling the areas around Saudi Arabia, with the intention of intercepting any nuclear bombs carriers.
On the Eastern European front, Andyland has made a sudden push forwards, taking Belarus, Lithuania and Moscow. The majority of Espeonland's forces are currently stationed to the east of Moscow.

A group of astronomers have just confirmed that there is a huge asteroid heading towards Earth. It is expected to collide somewhere in the North Atlantic at 1993-09-6836 00:00. There will probably be tsunamis and lots of dust thrown into the atmosphere. The full consequences have yet to be seen.
