Even if the art is good I can't finish if I'm like, be nicer! Kiss him and stuff, he's not a sex doll!
I keep waiting for someone to ask, "how are you feeling?" so I can say, "lonely, inadequate, afraid."
What a melodramatic dick.
everything is iyashikei if you're hardcore enough
>>537
BUt the only acceptable response to that is ggoodh no matter how you are actually feeling
they're not my friends anymore
dont ever post about this again on dqn
Let's kill the politics shitter!
>>545
So what you're saying is you can't handle people who don't think exactly the same way you do.
>>551
Neither is polshit or griping about how nobody understanding your snowflake shade of shit
>>552
I don't understand this. So you're saying I'm "polshit" even though /pol/ is a racist board, but people here are saying racist things to me. How do you make sense of that? Do you not see how you're contradicting yourself here?
>>553
I did not claim that you were capable of a coherent set of beliefs, other animals like my dog clearly cannot so I expect the same of you.
>>554
How are my beliefs incoherent? Actually, don't answer. I don't care what a racist thinks about me. You clearly don't think logically. I'm disappointed in your ignorance. I expected better of this site.
To the racists on this site: are you openly racist, or do you only say racist things on the internet?
Someone here has a foot odor and I sure hope it isn't me.
Feeling sad about how I've become distant with my old friends and how I could've been closer if I didn't cut off contact with people for a while.
Regret doesn't do you any good though, does it? Can't change the past.
Sometimes I just think it's deja vu and sometimes I think I really think I'm just posting the same things over and over again.

It seems that some dokyuns are forgetting the rule of the internet: if there's content you don't like, the best thing to do is ignore it. Meta-discussion is boring and toxic. Trying to tell people what to post and what not to post is completely ineffective.
And yes, I know this post is entirely hypocritical. SUCK IT BITCHES
>>566 I agree that meta-discussion is boring but I also agree with the other guy, that it only takes one or two ignorant roasters to drag a board's ‚‘‚•‚‚Œ‚‰‚”‚™ down. The other golden rule of the internet is to lurk moar - new users are welcome but hang out for a while and read the atmosphere before jumping in with your shallow opinions! This is different than the sty they're used to, have a bit of class.
How did they hammer the protruding nails in the Octobers and Novembers leading up to 1993?

Everything is political. There are really only two types of people: those who realize that political issues have serious effects on people's lives and need to be addressed, and ignorant "I'm neutral" idiots who are so privileged that they don't even realize that other people's problems are different from their own.
So to say "don't be political here" is something only someone from a privileged, sheltered, out of touch background can say. You must be living under a rock.
No >>578, there are more than two types of people in the world. It helps no one to be reductive. Political issues affect people's lives, of course, no one is disputing that. That doesn't necessarily mean need to be addressed on an anonymous textboard, especially one about net culture and weeb shit. I don't have a problem with people having political opinions, it's the way they're articulated that rubs me the wrong way, with shallow, short-sighted assumptions and false generalisations. Saying "there's only two types of people" or "____ is something only ____ would say" or accusing people who disagree of being "leftists" or "nazis" and things just shuts down intelligent discussion.
It always seems to be American political opinions that are discussed as well, so it's even less relevant; and maybe it's just the American style of partisan politics but it just comes across like sports fans bickering about their favourite team. Personally I like DQN because we don't really talk about current-day meatspace very much, shitposts are more interesting than what you personally think about the stereotypes you have for "the left" and "the right".
>>579
This is a photo of you: https://i.imgur.com/YOcdhBm.png
Also, you're wrong. You make it sound like both sides are equally valid here. "Argument to moderation" is a logical fallacy.
This is how DQN treats politics (very naively and incorrectly):
https://i.imgur.com/xfk6DSD.jpg
It's like if someone said 2+2=0 and someone else said 2+2=4. Then fence-sitting centrists will be all like "well the truth is somewhere in between, so maybe the real answer is 2+2=2." Or your "multiple viewpoint" bullshit would be like saying that there are multiple objective truths, so maybe 2+2=5 and 2+2=7 as well as the other opinions people have. But we know that's not true. So why do people treat politics differently? You pretend that some issues are subjective even when they're not.
The fact of the matter is that some people are clearly wrong and others are clearly right. In some cases, there aren't multiple correct opinions. You are extremely naive. Sheltered egalitarian garbage. You know nothing.
Weeaboos on sites like this tend to be out of touch and I am trying to educate you. I am trying to get you to think critically about issues that you would rather ignore because you're not comfortable discussing hard-hitting subjects. But they NEED to be addressed. Inaction is part of the problem. Nazism wouldn't have come about in Germany if there were fewer fence-sitters.
"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
>>582
Great rebuttal. You sure showed me with your superior intellect and maturity.
>>583 I'm not even the same guy you tremendous fucking queer. No one wants to discuss American politics on a board about yellow fever and pretending it's still 2006, especially with fuckwads like yourself who think it's their "duty" to "educate" us unwashed weeaboo plebs. Just go back to whatever fucking board you came from because it isn't here.
Seriously I was on your side at first because the netoyou poster is also an obnoxious fuckstick but now you've decided that it's your duty to evangelize and convert us to your side so you can fuck right off too.
I'm also sick to fucking death of this fence-sitter accusation that keeps getting thrown around. Refusing to pick sides in a shit flinging match between a faggot and a retard isn't a fallacy, it just means I don't want to get covered in shit for the sake of some faggot retard.
>>584
So people on this site are homophobic in addition to being racist and sexist. Great. You could really use some proper education. I think it's sad that ignorance and hatred are rampant here, but it doesn't have to be that way. You don't have to be the same way forever. Making a mistake once doesn't mean you have to keep on repeating it forever. If only you'd be open to seeing other people's points of view, I could help you see the light. You could redeem yourself... but only if you're willing to listen. And that requires change.
You can't play pretend forever. It's not 2006, weeb shit won't solve these societal issues, and you need to be more mindful of these problems. They affect you, whether you like it or not.
>>585
Fence-sitting will get you nowhere. While you're fence-sitting, there are people out there actively lobbying against your best interests. You have to pick a side. Otherwise, it's basically self-sabotage.
If you haven't gotten the memo, people are increasingly polarized. Being a fence-sitter IS a stance. And it's not one that will make you many friends.
>>586 I'm gay as fuck. I love cocks and man ass. Somehow you're still managing to be an even bigger faggot than me.
You're the netoyo poster false-flagging and trying to turn us to his tribe. There's no other explanation, it's simply not possible for someone to be this completely oblivious to what a self-parodying tool they are.
>>587
I don't know what "netoyo" means and I don't think it's something I want to google.
But if you're trying to figure out who I am... I used to post here many years ago, though I took a long hiatus during my time in higher education. Recently came back for the hell of it. I don't think DQN has changed, but I certainly have. I think it's weird for people to be so frozen in time, like the people on this site. It's not good.

I've been going to relatively obscure imageboards for almost a decade now. I've moved to the left over the years, it's just something that happened. And while I never wish to see people like the shitty sad puppy that spammed his shit all over the place, seeing walls of text of basic twitter discourse is mighty annoying so please stop.
Someone revived the politics board with a timely and tasteful kanye west post, go there.

Basically what >>592 said. I'm not a centrist. I have many strong, possibly controversial political opinions, but there are plenty of other places on the internet to post about politics without coopting one of the last existing relics of pre-2010s net culture and turning it into yet another board full of cringe teenagers spouting their basic-bitch takes and shitting on each other over the skub of the month. Which is what every internet political discussion is invariably reduced to, the dumbest people from either side trying to drown each other out by screeching the loudest.
I'm sorry >>591, I've failed you, but this is the last post I'll make on this subject.

want to get more into electronic music but the intense subgenre fracturing in an already somewhat obscure supergenre makes the whole thing pretty opaque as hell, that's a lot of effort just to consume something
I've had deeper conversations with random strangers on the internet than with my loved ones. That's probably a bad thing, isn't it?

>>596 Don't think of it as effort, to me it's fascinating how and why different subgenres branch off, and a lot of fun to go digging. >>597's link doesn't work for me but here's an interesting guide http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/ tracing the history of electronic music and how each branch progressed and split, with some samples of each. It's a little outdated, though apparently it's due to be updated in 2017. Feel free to ask here too, I'm a big musicology nerd.
Time blocks at a local 24 hour fitness center:
01:00 - 06:00 : NEET hour, if you go now you'll probably be the only one there. Dangerous if you want to lift, no one there to help if there's an accident.
07:00 - 12:00 : Pensioner hour, mostly old ladies walking on the treadmill or old men clogging up the equipment taking 30 minutes in between reps. Everyone is friendly and polite, but it's easy to become impatient. I can't recommend it to amateurs.
11:00 - 15:00 : Treadmill grandmas start to clear out and head to Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans for the early bird special. Second-least busy block, good time to go.
16:00 - 19:00 : Fitness mom hour, mostly young professionals in their late 20s to early 50s stopping in on their way home from work. A lot of fit, handsome dads around, if you're into that kind of thing.
20:00 - 0:00 : "youths", highschool sports players, dudebros, assorted miscreants. People screaming, slamming weights. If they play music at your gym this is when the playlist will switch from inoffensive and easily ignored top 40s to rap or nu-metal. Avoid.
>>605
It also depends a lot on where your fitness center is.
If you are around lots of offices, 20:00 might be IT people working overtime who finally want to get fit and former highschool football players now stuck on a lousy job.

being nida is suffering, don't do it boiz
>>610 let me guess, your dad is white and didn't want you to learn the language because something something "passing"?
>>611
That's not me. I'm the mixed race poster and I don't live with my parents. I live completely alone. ;_;
Besides, kimchi isn't a Mexican food.
I wonder if my friends secretly hate me
What if they're not really my friends, and they just tolerate me? But maybe they don't actually like me.
Well, I guess I shouldn't say "the" mixed race poster since there might be several, but I was the one who brought up the issue of "passing"
>>607
I didn't and I regret it always.
But you might do it and regret it also.
But at least you won't have the itching doubt of what could have been, but the cold determinate knowledge that there was never a chance.

part A: he is.
part B: no, mom is deadass a horrible teacher, a narcissist, hypochondriac (highly receptive to quackery sales pitches), hoarder, way into the conspiracy theories they peddle in Korea (a hate-on for PM Abe I can't begin to comprehend), etc. good cook all around, though. so if I wanted to learn Korean, it's better I picked up 21st century Gyeonggi from formal teaching instead of 1950s Chungcheong at home. anyway, I looked, and it turns out she just forgot it's pronounced "mackerel".

Low cost of living doesn't mean low quality of life.
There are many places that are cheaper than the US that are just as nice, if not nicer to live in. And things are less expensive, too. You make less money, but you don't need as much either.
Sheer dollar amount isn't the only measure of quality.
>>621 I love eggs too, my dream job is working in an egg distribution warehouse so I can touch all them lovely eggs~
>"Wait! Now, you see, the thing is very simple; this time you'll understand it. For instance, it takes your woman 42 days to earn her gown, at 2 mills a day -- 7 weeks' work; but ours earns hers in forty days -- two days SHORT of 7 weeks. Your woman has a gown, and her whole seven weeks wages are gone; ours has a gown, and two days' wages left, to buy something else with. There -- NOW you understand it!"
>He looked -- well, he merely looked dubious, it's the most I can say; so did the others. I waited -- to let the thing work. Dowley spoke at last -- and betrayed the fact that he actually hadn't gotten away from his rooted and grounded superstitions yet. He said, with a trifle of hesitancy:
>"But -- but -- ye cannot fail to grant that two mills a day is better than one."
