And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee.
another day where i could have done all kinds of stuff but didn't
what if the real abyss is the friends we didn't make along the way (because everyone we met along the way was an asshole [except for the cute blue shota])
>>316
Intriguingly, this post adequately describes both Made in Abyss if the shota is blue and Tales of the Abyss if the shota is green.
I'm losing my mind.

Why is it when people start a post with "Am I the only one that...", whatever follows is never anywhere near unique enough to be an interesting observation?
I used to be obsessed with venetian snares, but now I've checked out his most recent albums (since I hadn't kept up with him in years), and now it's just... meh
>>349
because when people say "am I the only one that" and no one else does it, you won't hear about the discussion
you only see the posts that other people upvote/agree with/engage with because it influences social media algorithms and makes you more likely to see said posts
plenty of unpopular opinions are posted and never viewed
perhaps they are even shadowbanned or even straight-up deplatformed
I just spent like 400 dollars in clothes. Dressing sure is expensive
>>352
What exactly did you get? 400 for a single fit is a lot, but 400 for a lot of outfits isn't that much.
I don't pay more than £20 for jeans, and £30 for trainers. Then I wear them right down to the bone, until water gets into my socks. Friends say, you really need to get new trousers, I can clearly see your scrotum... but they say it like it's a bad thing?
>>349,351
On lots of vote-curated sites, you'll find massively positive ratings on comments that call out the putative problems that "this site" has. Pure opinion at best, but usually counterfactual in my estimation.
As best I can tell, this is indicative of a horrible projection/deflection problem in the general groupthink that nobody actually wants to address. That would mean getting off your high horse. Can't have that!
Death Gripsf new album is disappointing
Itfs no NLDW or TMS, thatfs for sure
Am I the only one that notices that when people start a post with "Am I the only one that...", whatever follows is never anywhere near unique enough to be an interesting observation?

Anyone else like a song and then play it on repeat a million times until you hate it and then never listen to it again?
>>357
I came to terms with the fact that we are not getting another TMS ever again so long ago.

Nobody seriously uses a desktop any more, unless you have a job, and want more than one screen,
³
>>367
Maybe if you're at an old place going by company culture from the 80s. Coworking spaces and modern startups are often BYOD and people use laptops. Besides, you can use multiple screens on a laptop too. Airplay, Thunderbolt, HDMI, mini-DP, and so on.
You can always remotely delegate workloads to a remote server or desktop in a closet somewhere, but that's not the same as always being at a desktop.
>>369
That's all probably true for "modern startup" silicon valley shitculture where the employees are paid in foosball and the directors are all cheapskates.
No business that gives a shit about data protection and, well, general liability would trust BYOD, and no employee should either, for multiple obvious reasons.
I was the second hire in my company two years ago, so they're not old. They have their own premises, and I get a nice workstation with a real keyboard and 3 bezel-less monitors (more if I want them; the graphics card has some spare slots), and I get to stop caring about my work when I'm not actually working (not as easy when you get given a laptop you can take home). That's not "company culture from the 80s" at all, that's just making my work life tolerable.
>>367 I am not a fan of short-sighted sweeping statements... I love my iMac and my MBP, but the laptop stays in a bag under my bed unless I really need it in the field. Both have served me well for years and I give them both a little kiss at night before I go to bed.

i cannot get windows to use the 2nd ethernet jack on my new PC as a quick and dirty uplink for my old PC unless i want to (1) use wifi as the uplink or (2) manually set IPs on both computers and be satisfied with no internet on the old one.
like, ICS/bridging absolutely are not doing what they should do, before we even get into how they could be a lot clearer about what they say they do.
yes, this is not the best network topology and I could get a cheap hub or something instead of having wasted the past two hours, but that's not the point; there is absolutely no reason this shouldn't Just Work™ if Gran-Gran is a part of your target market.
I play some Artificial Academy 2 every night, I guess that's sort of like having sex with my computer.
>>369 BYOD startups with open floorplans also inevitably fail after a year or two because it turns out open floorplans fucking suck and are just a way for your (((venture capitalist))) boss to use flowery buzzwords to disguise the fact that he's too much of a stingy cunt to shell out for cubicles and actual company computers.
I don't think Arabs (especially Saudis) are pleased that many people will start reading their web-sites in Arabic with google translate... it's something like a revolution
>>378
Is this a joke? Google Translate has been around for a long time, buddy. Are you new to the internet?
yeah, I am behind the times.. Just tried GT on arabic BBC..

Cuteness comes from within.
>>383
The ((())) thing is a racist dog whistle used to imply that someone or something is jewish (but it's used in a negative way). Don't pretend that it's something else. And the other post mentioned desktop computers.
That's not projection, that's reading comprehension.
How very (((redpilled))) of you.
basically we are saudi people
and now it is the saudization
would you donate your kidney to Roman Abramovich? I think you do
When you're on an online conversation, and you call someone a stupid fucking retard, it's hilarious when they respond by pointing out your "ad-hominem". You're, like, not even denying that you're a fucking retard, just pointing out that it's just a bit of a tangent there. Practically a tacit admission.
I blame liberalism and Paul Graham that our youth is so obsessed with pointing out fallacies online.
>>410
I disagree. I actually see more people committing logical fallacies and not as many people pointing them out. The average person would say something like "fuck you" or "google it" or "I'm not even going to explain it to you" or something like that. They're not even going to bother with pointing out ad hominem or other fallacies. You seem to forget that most people are dumb and mobile devices and apps are easier to use than ever before. The level of discourse online is getting worse every year.
It sucks when you know something but someone feels the need to explain it to you anyway. Sometimes it's kinda awkward to say "look, I already know what you're explaining, please stop" so you just say "yeah" and "ok" while they painstakingly explain something you already know, and they're talking down to you the whole time as if YOU'RE the dumb one.
