Don't ask me why they do it because I don't know but it is definitely gross. Especially tattoos colored green, why green? Get a color that goes well with your skin, whatever. It is just weird and stupid and makes me mad. grrr.... I'm not kidding.

the lower back is a popular place for women because the skin doesnt stretch much there if they put on weight/get pregnant.

i personally think that its easier for a tattoo to look good on a man, whereas on a woman it has to be really well chosen/done and even then it seems to draw me away from sexuality. what i mean is that if im looking at bmezine.com at the tattoos and some hot 20yr old girl has full body tattoos, i dont get so turned on straight away looking at her compared with a girl with the same body but no tats. im probably going to get tats done or possibly even a branding/scarification in a year or two (still thinking about it)

There's a girl in one of my classes who's one of the biggest bimbos (literally, she has big knockers). Anyway, spotted a Chinese character on the back of her neck the first day. She had her hair tied up so that it's wayyy noticeable. I thought it was pretty tacky seeing as she's white, and how it would be funny if such a word didn't exist (character looked a bit weird to me). I wrote down the character, stroke for stroke, and showed my friend. Turned out my suspicions were right, there was no such word. I have a feeling it was meant to be "happiness", but there was one or two extra strokes.

Anyway, I was slightly amused after this. Wasn't that much of a fag to confront her about it though. So I'm sitting quietly behind her and all of a sudden she gets up, her t-shirt rides up and reveals a fuckin huge playboy bunny tat on her lower back. When I mean huge, it was about 20 cm, or about the size of a palm. It was like big flashing neon lights screaming TRAMP. It was as if she flashed half the class sitting behind her. I certainly caught a couple of interesting looks from my classmates.

33 Name: Anonymous : 2007-03-24 18:31 ID:Heaven

There was absolutely gorgeous girl in one of my classes who appeared to be the exact opposite of a tramp. She had a very innocent, loli type face, wore very nice casual dresses and sandals, hairstyle like uma in pulp fiction, extremely kind and well read. I had such a crush on her. I remember it like it was yesterday...
She came and sat in the seat in front of me wearing white pants and a sweater and then she bent over to pick something up and JESUS FUCKING CHRIST her sweater and her pants parted to reveal the most insane, huge, evil tattoo on the small of her back. There were horns, fire, fangs- i seriously wanted to cry and hold my mother. I mean, that is a symbol that she isn't a fucking goodie-goodie, that she FUCKS, and that she likes to get FUCK. Things are weird like that nowadays.

All grammatical wankery aside, I don't like tattoos. I think they just ruin the human body, which is pretty damn great on its own. My boyfriend likes them, but I'm never getting one, and I hope he doesn't get one either.

Plus you'll probably regret it in about two years, and end up having to get the lasers.

48 Name: Anonymous : 2007-03-31 14:10 ID:NoCTD6aq

well if you get a tattoo that actually means something to you then you wont regret it in 2 years. for example my friend's dad has multiple tattoos, mostly to do with his work (police etc) and he doesnt regret them. tattoos can be great if they mean something personal to you; they represent memories, and are a constant reminder of something you wouldnt want to forget (eg a certain experience, a dead friend etc)

its when people go into a tattoo parlour on a whim and pick something straight out of a book that results in a regretable tat.

oh and as for ruining the human body, i think thats true but only because people put them in the wrong place. tattoos can be used to emphasize certain parts of the body, creating for example a more feminine figure by emphasising curves of the hips, waist etc

I do like tats on myself...but I'm a guy (well sort of, but that's something else altogether), but I don't trust local tat artists not to fuck it up. I don't think a tat should be something you pick out of a list like a burger at McDonalds, I prefer to design my own.

That said, I'm also a pussy, so I probably will never get it. Needles hurt!

Girls with tats are generally pretty unattractive, unless it fits their general image. If they're already sporting a "bad girl" image it makes them hotter, ...in mostly a bad girl slutty way. That's not necessarily a bad thing...but I wouldn't hit girls like that without an extra thick polyurethane condom.

52 Name: Anonymous : 2007-04-03 06:30 ID:nG3WGF9V

>I wouldn't hit girls like that without an extra thick polyurethane condom.

That reminds me of a time where this transfer student from South Africa attended one of our health ed classes. The teacher askes, "How do you get the best protection from a condom?" He stands up, and as if he was reciting from a book, goes on to tell us about filling the condom with water to check if there are any holes. Lol, talk about killing the mood.

53 Name: Anonymous : 2007-04-04 15:43 ID:6pt/5t1i

>>52

Of course, that's the beauty of the polyurethane. Very low risk of holes. It's not an irregular natural product like traditional latex, but rather homogenous.

And technically, you're supposed to fill a condom with water to check for holes afterwards, as it is kind of hard to put on a condom you've already fully extended. And filling a latex condom with water tends to put stress on it too, especially if you fill it like a water balloon. Generally, I think you're supposed to fill it afterwards, as double checking. Like in Shintaro Kago's "Holes by the Train Station". Except minus all the mind-fuck afterwards.

The naked female body isn't supposed to be for sexuality only, just as little as the male one is. Tattoos can be sexual, but mostly they're not.

Tattoos can be fine, or utterly horrible. Depends on the tattoo and why they have it. "Dude! I so am getting this random naked chick tattoed onto my biceps" is retarded, and will look at best so-so if they luck out, but probably looks rather bad.

It's rather enjoyable to hear people speak about their tattoos, when they actually have genuine meaning behind them. A bit less than a decade ago I sadly missed the opportunity to meet some tribesmen from some island halfway across the world at my local museum. They had an exhibit regarding the tribesmens' area, and they had been brought over for the opening night and first few days after. They had tattoos all over, as it was customary to get one from every place they travelled to, and every major event they partook in. They each got a tattoo by a local tattoo artist, of some stone-age symbols from around these parts. They also liked how less painful it was to get a tattoo like that, in contrast to their traditional manually piecing the skin with sharp tools.

Whilst the swastika had other meanings in the past, the general consensus in modern society is that it has Nazi related connotations. Walk down the street with a swastika painted on your shirt and try insisting that you're not a Nazi.

Better yet, why don't you get a swastika tatooed on your lower back, and try insisting that you're not a nazi tramp?

Getting tacky tattoos (Tasmanian devils, yin-yang symbols, dolphins and most other animals, anything Playboy-related), or covering yourself completely in unrelated bits, is unflattering on anybody, male or female.

Lower-back 'tramp stamps' (I prefer 'license plates') look trashy in large part because so many trashy women get them, or get them cheap, or from tattooists who aren't that good at it.

But tattoos can be both artful and classy, and some women look hot with them.

Tattoos are really skanky and skeevy regardless of gender. The sole purpose of body art is to fulfill vanity by attracting unwanted attention usually to one's anatomy rather than the whole person.
I'm certain all the symbols have deep, significant, spiritual meanings for the bearer of the tattoo but to the man on the street it's just a weird scrawl or offensive drawing. Such a tattoo should be kept hidden under clothes or only be seen in very casual settings. Presumably something deep and signiifcant isn't used to make light conversation and small talk to random people on the street since the latter will run screaming from the former. The essence of a human being lay in their heart and mind not on their skin.
In my experience tattoos, and piercings, are just an excuse for a girl to be a show-off without being called a slut or accused of being an exhibitionist since they rationalize they're showing off the tattoo or barbell not their rack or crack.

I doubt that if it's intensely personal he would decide to tattoo it on his face.

It's always a bad idea to make assumptions, but we can consult the all-mighty Wikipedia for some random bullshit.

> In prison it is often used to signify that the wearer is a "sissie." Generally the prisoner is forced to get the tattoo by their "sugar daddy."
> However, its usage is known to have originated in the Chicano gangs of California.
> Often, it signifies that an individual has killed another person, particularly while in prison; at other times, it means that a family member, friend, or fellow gang member has died or been killed.
> Other times, it can stand for the number of years one has been in prison or the serving of more than one prison term.

i think its pretty sad that people can judge other people by what they do to their bodies. having tattoos or body mods doesn't make you a tramp, a low life, white trash or any of the other negitive thoughts associated with having a tattoo. getting a tattoo doesn't change who you are inside, if a girl with a tattoo is a tramp its not because she has a tattoo, its simply because she's a tramp, with or without the tattoo. so all you people that think that people with tattoos are sub-human because they have them. GO FUCK YOURSELF! because your an ignorante piece of shit and you should be shot because your not better than some one just because they have a tattoo.

Tattoos are just a shitty fad, they don't hold the true value or meaning that they portrayed in more ancient times (you don't need a tattoo in the office space, at the construction site, or at McDonalds.)
Most people who get tattoos are bouncers, people who have no clear direction in life and don't think about the outcomes of their decisions which is why the majority end up regretting getting them after some time.
These people for all I know are mostly egocentric assholes who pretend to be rebels (even the intelligent ones) and don't give a fuck about what other people think, in their minds getting a tattoo is the right thing even if their decision was the result of peer pressure, being high, lack of self discipline, ignorance, or mere stupidity.
Most of these people ultimately get tattoos to show off or get some sort of attention, sure they may think it is a form of art but no one really gives a fuck about them (except their little groups of tattoo freaks), your skin is not a damn canvas, tattoos simply are conversation starters and nothing more. People get used to them after a while, and even if they still hold their original value or meaning these people will eventually get bored and want to get a new one, if the contrary is true most of them will probably regret it in the future.
There are better ways to remember someone or something and that is by using your damned memory, yes the one you use to remember how to clean your ass after taking a dump. If you can remember how to clean your ass, do you think you'll forget that special something/someone if you don't get that tattoo? Be rational.

wat

In 1965 the meaning they portrayed was generally something along the lines of "hurrrrrrrrrrrr I is a sailor," "hurrrrrrrrrr I work for da carnival," or or "hurrrrrrrrrr I just gotted out of da penimatentiary."

What has changed in 2008, other than that there's a fad for tattoos now among wannabees and emo kids who go out of their way, pay a lot of money, and subject themselves to non-trivial physical discomfort because they watched too much MTV and decided it would be cool to make themselves look like thugs and carnival freaks?

Speaking as a female, I've always hated tatoos...actually anything directly applied on the skin. Stamps, stickers, writing on your hand etc. You name it, hated it with a passion even as a child. Tatoos are just incredibly unattractive and give me a crawly feeling.

Piercings however, and jewelry in general, have always fascinated me. Maybe it's the shinyness, or that it's easily removable (in most cases) if you dislike it.

Just my opinion.

Makes people look stupid, like they wanted to be special and ended up being like everyone else.

But I do appreciate people who turn their bodies into something new, via tattoos or other body mods. They don't see it as a fashion thing, I guess that's why I like it.

Only it wasn't a portrait; it was drawn like he was inside her butt, and he's all pressing his face up against the inside of her butt like it's a pane of glass and he's smushing himself up against the inside, trying to escape.

It was... an interesting situation. She refused to turn face-up. It was like, "YOU MUST LOOK AT DAVID DOCHOVNY IF YOU WANT TO DO THIS".

Excellent detail and colouring though.

I would so tattoo David Duchovny on my butt. Great story. Did you see her again or did the emotional scar prevent further meetings?

Clubslut, mate. When I'm abusing substances it's another matter but the next morning the idea of persuing a relationship with a come dumpster does not appeal. I don't think I even got her name.

I probably should've gotten a picture, though.

That's even more retarded. Did an intellectual hurt your brain when you were younger?

Tattoos on women are revolting, I wouldn't screw a whore with a tattoo with any of your cocks. They show themselves to be sluts, whores, oxycontin-abusing white trailer park trash, so why would I want to risk STDs by banging one??? How come practically everyone in a porn flick has a tattoo??? Tattoos are for low class grunts...truckers, longshoremen, whores, druggies...my company wouldn't hire anyone with a visible tattoo even if they claimed to have a MBA and could do a heart transplant single-handedly...because their overall judgment is easily subject to influence and manipulation.

That's because managing business and performing surgery are irrelevant to working in a sweatshop.

I think tattoos are the best example of the phrase, 'men don't objectify women, women objectify themselves' being born out in reality.

Women care about sex and not much else.
