>>699 for a moment I thought it might be about a mob against the frenchie girl. Yes, nice series of gifs.
>>700 I was thinking just through the hip and leg - not even the crotch - that's always tight! Holla!
How good does Sir Ken look with a beard! Roaw. Looks like they had fun. I will still need someone to rate it out of 10 on the cringe scale before I watch it.

Oh, and look, a blue suit and legs open like a whore. Never change TH, never change.
And some more from tumblr via twitter.

>>704 I love Sir Ken avec beard but I prefer the more groomed Hamlet style beard on him. De Niro looks like a homeless persn who wandered in by mistake and GN thought "what the hell we'll interview him anyway"
>>706 TH struggling in top photo to keep legs together but the conda fights for air.
>>702 She is this 19, or 20, french girl that was doing a year of stage in London and TH followed her on twitter (that's how she got fans attention), because she was friend with someone who work at the Donmar theatre or with an American journalist (I truly don't remember). Every time TH starts following someone she does too - she tweeted to HR's assistant costume designer after TH followed her, telling her that they should be friend. If TH gets involved in something, she starts tweeting about it too. When she was in London for her stage, she was always going to G&W, the nw3 woman had a internet argument with her.
I was just reading at the bycycle that she went to Paris for CP premiere and she was staying at the same hotel as TH&co and as a result Olly now follows her on twitter - no idea how they know it was the same hotel. So I was expecting a twitter/tumblr mob against her (it happened before). Look in the 2nd or 1st thread there was more as well as her name.
>>709 She's on the nuttier end of the fandom but fairly harmless. I think she hopes that if she bumps into him enough he might one day accidentally fall on top of her. She was hated with a passion by nw3 and her little coterie of flaming torch carriers.
>>710 yeah, I agree. But it probably wasn't wise, your PA following her as well, you know how the bycycle loves to claim the beanup story was true and that TH sleeps with his fans.
>>711 Ahhh.. and everyone's favourite defender of Tom's chastity is at it again .. 3-2-1.. L-e-x (already tweeting abuse at her) .
Sigh.
and on it goes....
Hi! You tweet fast!! No need to be offensive though. "Eating shit' is not very classy.

Done. You can ask for >713 and >716 (and this one) to be deleted too.
I have viewed the latest GdT "spot" (seemingly meaning mini-trailer). Talk about spoilers. Stay well away. Combined with what I have seen so far I could now pretty much write this movie.
>>718 I need a good reason to ask for that, neither posts qualify as spam or troll or something needing a mod intervention. Anyway, let's move on.

The second set of photos of TH entering BBC Radio studio that torrilla posted are really good.
the preview for Graham Norton that torrilla uploaded doesn't work, at least for me, but I'm curious to know what prompted this expression

>>731>>733 And that's probably the only reason I wasn't advertising!! It didn't exist.
I remember wearing a Metallica t-shirt because the guy I liked was in love with the band. I wore that t-shirt once a week for half a school year! Cringe. My punishment for not being true to myself was that he then invited me out to a Metallica concert...and I had to sit through a Metallica concert! My ears still haven't recovered.
Now, social media is the Metallica t-shirt of this generation.
>>731 That first submission - where the poster says she has a forehead bigger than TH - oh god, how?
It made me think of the SNL character:
So, she may be trying hard, but I don't think TH would sniff around a 20 year old. And if diversity attraction is a real thing, then he's not looking for someone with a five-head to match his.
I stayed at the Plaza Athenee in NYC for a weekend (my banker ex-boyfriend paid for it as a birthday gift - I couldn't have afforded to breathe the air in that place!).
I don't know if the one in Paris is connected to the NYC one, however, if she did stay there, she's keen and well-heeled...my Metallica shirt only cost me 20 bucks!
>>745 I also suspect he wasn't 15 years older than you ;)
But really nobody with 2 brain cells would think along those lines, as I said it was about the opportunity of his PA also following her, exclusively because I knew how that would look like and how it could easily degenerate and potentially become another beanup-like story.
Torrilla has the Norton show up but I can't download it or watch it, BBC has the show up but it's UK only. If someone has a normal youtube link please post it.
found this one, I hope it's all of it

"Marvel Studios has found its director for the third Thor film, and it’s a bit of an unlikely choice. Per The Wrap, Flight of the Conchords director Taika Waititi is in negotiations to take the helm of Thor: Ragnarok."
>>751 Well I watched it. Old wine in new bottles I felt. The Owen Wilson impression. Heat (scene between RDN and Al Pacino). The Campaign for Moah Male Nudity in CP. TH had the grace to go a little pink at doing his impression of RDN in front of RDN. RDN was pretty monosyllabic, but good natured, gracious and slightly bewildered at having him and KB fangirling all over him. AH gave good value and came across as pretty norma. Overall as far as TH was concerned it was a superficial "greatest interview hits".
The funniest part by far was Graham Norton's impression of Ian McKellen using a self-service checkout in Waitrose (British supermarket).
There was a bonus clip of shirtless Ken from Frankenstein. God, he looked buff. Rawr. His current beard is a bit too much Captain Birdseye for me though.
>>753 and a little more than pink when asked about his fans. I read they cut the bit where he was singing as Hank. But yes, it was a harmless funny interview.
>>754 They must have cut a Hank impression - I watched it on bbc I-player as broadcast and it wasn't included in the show.
When TH says "it's an expression of admiration, just to be clear" did his accent become more posh all of a sudden? Especially on the clear?
>>752 (shrugs shoulders) Okay then. This sounds like a good idea. Does he need an action, ensemble background to direct? Apparently not.
What could go wrong when a comedy direction with a few low budget indie films under his belt directs a big budget, big action blockbuster?
Let's watch and see.
>>745 he was a senior and I a lowly freshman...so I stretched to 3 years. Scandal.
>>753 what would you give it on the cringe-meter? One being, I can watch this. And ten being, put it in the vault and don't look back.
>>757 So far the most harm with the Thor franchise came more from Perlmutter&co than the directors, he can't do worse than that.
>>759 To me it was funny, nothing new but funny all the same. The cringe was AH's impression, but not because of AH, it just wasn't good at all.

I can't decide if this is rehash from old interviews like I thought, or it's recent.
I can't believe he would actually say in an interview, right now, "Oh look, I live near very famous people and I'm so exotic" not counting the rest.
>>762 I don't want HELLO to do a half hour with TH, I want the full blown, through the peephole version of a HELLO interview. I want TH 'relaxing on his spacious bespoke leather settee.' I want him 'hiding away from the world in his luxurious footed bath, complete with bubbles.' I want him 'cooking organic quinoa and free range eggs in his modern kitchen.' Come on, HELLO.
>>760 How so? Marvel's frugality, script direction, comics v. movies, grand plan for all the franchises and tie-ins?
>>764 isn't that why Disney recently gave Feige sole control over Marvel's future films?
>>762 No I think you're right, I'm almost positive it was put together from previous interviews.
The HELLO article seems new to me. He mentions MA in one answer, saying that he said something to him 'the other day.'
Also, the War Horse London premiere (Jan. 2012) is referenced as 'a few years back.'
I think it seems old because TH recycles answers - like most actors who give interviews 50, 100, 200 odd times a year.
His clothes aren't new and his answers aren't either.

The bicycle woman tries hard to prove Elizabeth and Tom lied about not dating each other. I'm totally lost in her theories, and have no idea what they are trying to say there. Why is she so invested in that?
>>770 I didn't know whether to mention this, so glad you did. I think that she/he scored a little "coup" with the sneaky pic of the two in his neighbourhood (more so after it was leaked to a local rag of a paper). The crowing went on for awhile as her site had the "exclusive" or whatever.
I guess that it is a tad humiliating to be proven incorrect, hence the persistent fixation on proving that THEO are a thing... anyway, good luck to her. I think that at this stage (with both categorically denying anything), she is clutching at straws.
I stumbled upon the TBC when I first got into the fandom. I read it for a while, then drifted away. I also found the teatime blog and read it for awhile before stopping.
I stopped reading both for the same reason - their MO is to post any and all submissions and then add their - usually baseless and uneducated - opinions. They both do it. The blogger on TBC posts everything - the out-there theories tend to come from submissions - and then she'll agree or disagree. It's all wild hypothesis and pure opinion. I like speculation as much as the next, but it's only speculation - real grain of salt stuff.
Also, I sometimes think that some of these blogs like to shock-jock along to get/keep followers and readers. She's probably not invested in TH (I noticed that her header now has every male star under the sun!), but in her number of followers and hits. I'm sure those can be a real drug for the right kind of person.
Now for bed, it's been a LONG week.
>>771 well they try to prove that they are dating because of Hello article. And I noticed one poster says even something like " Tom confirmed he is dating Olsen in hello article, why did she denied it?!" I laughed hard at that because Toby readers are sometimes ... not the cleverest people with lack of understanding what they read, but that's how the rumor mill starts.
I bet poor Brie is next. They already started it.
Nah. I say: four way love quadrant - Tom, Brie, Luke and King Kong .. aka "The love that dares not speak its name".
Imagine the headlines! Imagine the red carpet!
Anyway .. onto the LIFF!
>>771 Yes this.
The Bycycle began life as a blog called antisusie devoted to writing pernicious and libellous stuff about his then girlfriend Susanna Fielding. It had distinct hints of the more mad stuff one sees about EO (calling her bitch, whore etc).
Then the writer abandoned that blog and moved to its current location in ?2013 about the time he was seen at Wimbledon with JA. No particular party line on her though TBC did have a "source" called "nw3anon" and debate has subsequently raged about whether this source and the later blogger were the same.
At that time (late 13 early 14) TBC had one or two "dishes" from anons that sounded pretty well informed - and at least one utterly inprobable line that had in turn been fed to the anon supplying it by someone who was emailing her pretending to be TH. In general the party line was that TH was a recreational class A drug user and sex fiend with a serious commitment problem and a devotion to porn. The stated object of the blog at that time was to debunk the Disney prince image (why, who knows).
She developed a side line in publishing and debunking the madder Cumberbatch allegations about how there was no baby and it was all a sham, when TH went dark in late 2014 and there was nothing else to talk about. Also at about this time nw3anon blog started and took some of her followers so she started calling them all nannies and invested (and God how I hate the use of this word outside the context of financial instruments). She carried this line (you are all crazy nannies not to believe) over into the EO story without really missing a beat - current "thoughts" are exacerbated by the fact that the pic was her scoop and greatly exacerbated by her calling everyone who didn't believe nannies for the last 3 months.
>>771 PS I love the definition of The Daily Mail as a "local rag of a paper". It's a national newspaper with a giant circulation! It is a rag I agree....
Americans seem to have a hard time getting their heads round this. The New Yorker, despite all its fact checkers, still persists in calling The Times "The London Times" which is neither its name nor an accurate description of its circulation.
>>768 my problem is that the whole article is in contradiction
"the other day with MA" means TIFF, but at TIFF they denied dating so why would Hello say he doesn't want to talk about it? And is a teenage mag as Hello even going to be at TIFF?
Then there's TH saying all his family lives in London, but all his family does NOT live in London, except for his little sister.
This is why it sounds a bit fake to me.
>>770 she doesn't like to be wrong. Her stance on things is the one that is most annoying to fans, and she changes it accordingly. If tomorrow we were all going to say yes he is dating EO we are so happy, she'll be hell bent to prove they are not. She did the same with JA or Sian or SF.
(with no intention of reopening the matter because ot me is closed, but since it was mentioned, EO is in Paris for fashion week ;) http://www.gettyimages.it/detail/fotografie-di-cronaca/actress-elizabeth-olsen-attends-the-christian-fotografie-di-cronaca/491001916 )

great photos
I think it's a cut-and-shut job - they've mixed together some quotes from TIFF interviews with some older interview quotes to make it sound like they actually talked to him. It's quite common for these kind of magazines and websites to essentially cut-and-paste from other sources, as long as all the quotes are genuine and they make up some copy around it they can get away with it.
It's also one of the reasons why magazines that genuinely get interviews tend to shoot some video for their website at the same time, and why reputable websites point out when the were involved in a round-table interview - it makes it clear that they were genuinely there and not just copying from other sources, since the actor is likely to be saying much the same things in every interview.
What's left of the calendar. Though I suppose he might attend CP's premiere in LA before Kong.
BFI London Film Festival: HR Oct. 9
NBCS The Today Show: CP Oct. 14
>>777 yes you are right. The trouble is that the people who read Toby don't bother to check his interviews, they take her as the only source of news. I personally recognize the quotes from Elle interview and others as well. But now they say "they change the replies! THEO is still on! What 're they trying to do!" I'm just amazed that they can't accept the fact that sometimes tomato is a tomato and nothing more, and there is no conspiracy theory.
>>773 Nah - he'll do what he always does: fall in love with his director. The Kong director has already made him vibrate with excitement.
I don't know for certain, but I think TNY probably calls yours Times 'The London Times' so not to confuse it with The New York Times, which they often refer to as The Times...because, you know, NYC is THE most important city in the world, so there's clearly only one 'The Times.'
And TNY shouldn't be legitimized by their fact checkers, but derided for the fact that now they only get a mention for their cartoons.
No one likes to be wrong, so that's certainly part of it. I also think that she may genuinely believe that they were/are together. Some people will take their denial at face value and move on. Some people will continue to wonder, and some will just flat out not believe them. People, like the TBC blogger will continue to fight their side no matter what - that's human nature. Some people believe that TH is gay, and even though he's said he isn't, and others have as well, they still refuse to think otherwise.
>>786 The real surprise would have been if they had noticed that it was old quotes mixed with some fake ones.
Of course chances are some noticed but went along with it for the "fun" of annoying his fans, the bycycle woman isn't the only one playing that game.
>>789 Genuine and the bycycle blog shouldn't exists int he same sentence :) It could also be a case of "we'll make this true but constantly repeating it is". It's what some fans were doing with JA, but in that case she decided against it. It's like when she insists TH and SF broke up in nov. 2011, it's not true, but everyone goes along with it.
>>776 I think the DM is rag-ish, but it has its own unique qualities. And while I'm American, I have some insight. I used to live in London during the early 2000s. I lived in Edgware and worked near Whitehall. Every morning I would pick up the DM, The Sun and the Guardian and read/skim them on the tube. The British suits in the office thought is was an amusing mix of news sources - didn't stop them from catching a free peek at Page 3.
I got just as much 'news' from the tabloids as the broadsheet. The DM and Sun have real news - it's presented with their own leanings, like all papers, but it's news. They just happen to have a generous helping of Big Brother/reality star articles, WAG and royal coverage, and 'leggy display' rubbish as well.
>>791 Ohh, I totally forgot that some people still think JA is 'around.'
See, people will stick to opinion even in the face of a lot of evidence!
>>792 It's widely read - internationally as well now it has such a successful website. The reason I call it a rag is because it purports to report news but is frequently factually inaccurate, in a manner which leads me to think it is deliberate. There's about as much commitment to accuracy in the "news" as there is is in the celebrity stories, but it hides under this cloak of respectability which makes its inaccuracy (in my view) more pernicious because harder to spot.
Also it supported the British Fascist party during the 30s and remains covertly and at times almost overtly anti-Semitic in its editorial line.
>>788 Call it the UK Times then - but I think it is more that there is just no notion of a national newspaper in the U.S. Hardly surprising given the logistics of printing and delivering one paper throughout the country. Whereas the UK is so small that we can all stand together and read one copy of a broadsheet.
>>794 Oh, it is definitely anti-ferener (foreigner). And their current coverage of the refugee/immigration crisis does echo the general anti-Semitic talk of the paper in the 1930s. Strangely, it tends toward the pro-Israeli side on international issues.
If you're talking in general/specifically about the Miliband article - unfair on all grounds, in my opinion - I think that was a matter of the DM's anti-leftist sentiments rather than outright anti-Semitism. Their follow-up editorial, however, oh, yeah, that was anti-Semitic.
PS Psst, TH is totally anti-Semitic and racist, and a horn-dog and - whatever else. Pass it on!
>>794 I find the website so interesting! I often look at the US and UK tabs just to see how they are presenting stories to their different target audiences. Usually the tabs have different main stories. I've found that only royal stories tend to show up on both pages, but still the headlines will be different. There's A LOT of media analyst hours going into some of those decisions.
PS Psst. TH always read the DM and writes comments under the name of Lord HIddlesworth. Pass it on.
>>796 Weighing in ... The Daily Fail/Mail whatever is the flagship of the Murdoch press (together with the Sun).
Imagine Faux news on, printed on paper or online with a UK bent. Absolute tripe. The editorial team do not even bother to check for simple spelling errors before publishing (let alone factual accuracies). One example being the utter rubbish they printed about Tom's Oxford visit with EO (when the stalker photos were taken in London). Actually .. they published the bicycle's stalker photos - so - I take all things from that source with a mighty pillar of salt. The sentiments are: anti-Muslim anti-Polish (Pole being the most readily targeted pre-representatives of the scary "Europe". Pro UKIP / anti Europe and only marginally on the border of the stuff being sprouted by Radio Television Libre des Mille Collines (google it) imho.
The comments sections are a useful barometer of often the most ignorant sectors of the British population .. oh ..and the BC tea party brigade.
And one Lord Hiddleworth (the 2nd) ;)
The Mail isn't as Murdoch paper, its majority shareholder is Viscount Rothermere. It pretends to be high-brow compared to the Sun and the other tabloids, but their political views are quite similar - very right-wing (for the UK, which is not as right-wing generally as the US), conservative, and xenophobic.
Murdoch owns The Sun and The Times.
