Personality/Story: On a recent trip outside of Gensokyo, Yui Satou, a youkai with no personality and nothing that made her special, made a trip to North America. She changed her name to Mary Smith, returned to Scarlet Devil Mansion, and took a form she thought would represent her love for America... a skimpy (but not outright lews) American Flag bikini, a very muscular physique, long blond hair... but she'd also fallen in love with American horror as well (Not having the patience to watch J-horror, with its long intellectual and psychological horror elements, she simply preferred watching boatloads of humans get slaughtered), hence the Jason mask. The fake bunny ears indicate she might have spent time in Las Vegas. She was going to follow in Jason's footsteps and slaughter as many humans as she could, but Remilia, nervous that Mary might wipe out her food source, had a gym built in the mansion where she could work out instead. Mary Smith is very brash, very cocky, very loud and loves peppering her speech with American words.

-Rumia: Mary Smith admires Rumia's Western appearance.
-Cirno: Cirno ends up angering Mary Smith somehow nearly every day, and usually gets pummeled for it.

-Patchouli Knowledge: Oddly enough, the two are relative friends, as Patchouli now has someone who can appreciate the English-language section of her library.
-Sakuya Izayoi: The two are good friends, as Mary Smith's slaughtering of humans saves Sakuya a lot of time when preparing meals. As a trade off, though, Mary Smith eats quite a bit.
-Remilia Scarlet: It's unclear why Mary Smith lives in Remilia's mansion. Odds are it has to do with Flandre.
-Flandre Scarlet: Mary Smith is current teaching Flandre English, although it's the butchered English she thinks is correct.
-Raiko Horikawa: Has become very good friends with Raiko, and they are currently looking for a guitarist or two to join the heavy metal band they're forming.

The question being, does Mario acquire knowledge of these 10 skipped levels (in, at least, an existential sense) despite the warp? Or are you now playing with a less-experienced Mario, a Mario that is not intrinsically deserving of this achievement?
But it’s axiomatic to the world of Super Mario Bros. that undeserved achievements cannot occur. Therefore, we have to assume that Mario has somehow absorbed this knowledge without you (or else he, and by extension you, could not be here).
This is why, when you play Mario with warps, you start to feel a gap between yourself and Mario. This design is not only ugly: half of the features that made MobyGames a great site are either removed or obfuscated, and the functionality is buggy and impaired beyond belief. I boycotted this site in protest with other contributors and then left for good when all requests were ignored.

Despite its many flaws and lack of progress in framework and features, MobyGames was a pretty good website for a long time. Then came the great redesign in September 2013 which was done by someone who has absolutely no clue about design standards, responsive design, intuitive database visualization, search or filtering, or any kind of design whatsoever. Really, I made better websites fifteen years ago in HTML 3 with CGI scripts. People complained en masse because the site was bugged, slow, ugly and unusable for any of its main purposes. Nothing happened, and the site became a graveyard. The end.
