Are you talking about the recent change to RAL v2.0? If so, prettyboy explained that, with RAL v1.0, he intended to make something 'innovative': a "real-time BBS". However, he realized that IRC was also a real-time BBS, so he decided to change it.
I understand his urge to change the software, but I wish he had at least created a "real-time" board.
