Not sure Tom would have seen this project as beneath him except for Eddie R being part of it. Tom's talked about how he loved Aardman movies as a kid, and in the BTS shots he looks like he's having so much fun. And remember that Ralph Fiennes voiced the villain in the last Wallace & Gromit movie, so he's in good company.

Is that a hole I see in the front of Tom’s jacket? Also, I don’t think we can now dispute that the jacket is just filthy (I recall a debate last year about whether we saw a footprint or a trick of the light). As for the boots, it may have been a lot muddier than expected when he was out walking the dog. The acid test will be whether he bothers to clean them off.

I read recently that Harriet Walter and others “joined” him as a patron of the Nuffield Southampton Theatres (https://www.nstheatres.co.uk/about-us/news/harriet-walter-and-craig-david-announced-as-new-patrons-for-nuffield-southampton-theatres). Since he did that q&a in early 2015 I am not aware he has done any event for NST. He was originally named as an “associate actor”. The thinking you-know-where is that the coat might be his peacoat from RadHam. The hair - who knows? It’s longer than in his youth, which in my experience makes curly hair straighter. And it might be hat hair from being out and about in his baseball cap. He’s definitely had it straightened for some of his RC appearances, though- possibly yours truly’s influence?

And I think that he and his PR guy, Luke, have taken a page from the TS playbook by refocusing on charitable donations, and notifying the press about it, just like his peers do. The British actors have joined forces to fight sexual harassment just in time to promote the BAFTA film awards. Tom, Emma Watson, K Knightley, Emma Thompson Gugu M-W, Jodie Whittaker from Return to Cranford, etc. have made donations to a fund for victims of sexual assault, called the UK Justice and Equality Fund. Tom gave £10,000 and Emma W gave £1 million, and he made the contribution by name, on a GoFundMe page. Hmmm...I guess this is Tom's answer to the the Harvey Weinstein fallout, the Time's Up Movement, and acting in a Woody Allen film. Hmm... Processing. Given Tom's last 1.5years in the business, it was probably best for him to stay quiet on the issue, and let his financal contribution speak for itself. I'm a little wary of the Time's Up. There's a shoe print on his coat and his scarf has a hole in it. He knows he's going to be photographed yet he chooses to dress like someone who doesn't wash themselves or there clothes. Those are the clothes he uses daily to walk his dod and play with him in the park. If you ever had a dog, you know that you always come home with dirty clothes.

There is this misconception that Tom's fan base consist of a bunch of teenage girls when in actuality it's more a bunch of twenty somethings and middle age women. It resembles the Twilight fan base. His popularity is teenage-like but the fans are most often adults.
Also how is taking paparazzi photos of walking your puppy looking like a disheveled mess prove he isn't a famewhore? He's getting photographed doing the most mundane things with his newest prop-the dog-which is what reality tv stars paparazzi photos are like. He's just making himself look pitiful and it's not helping him.
He needs to guest star on some popular show or something. Go back to square one and stop being tabloid fodder because he dated a girl his obsessed fan base hates like every girl he dates.
And if he wants to get rid of his insane overly entitled fanbase; get married and pop a kid. That'll shatter their wish fulfillment fantasies about him. Though I'm sure they'll talk bad about his wife and child ala Cumberbatch, but the fantasy will wear off aand they'll target another single actor.

Elizabeth Debicki has confirmed basically nothing about TNM2. I'm glad that TH has a gig, and yet I am no longer interested in Roper and Pine squaring off again. And Pine seemed kind of ambivalent about Jed at the end of the series, unlike at the end of the end. The book has been adapted and it has no sequel. There is no more night to manage. Think like Elsa in Frozen, and Let It Go. Or make Olivia Coleman the lead maybe, and start over...Hmm...Like a LeCarre novel meets Fargo, and Olivia has a hot affair with her sexy ex-lover in the CIA! I've solved it!

Interesting little blurb on another site. I have not read TNM but I guess at the end there was something about him having grown a Cornish beard. Hinting at gearing up for TNM 2. Thoughts?

The biggest buzz he seems to be getting at the moment is the question of whether or not Loki is killed off early in A:IW.

So puppy and a girlfriend now. Add in all the talk about the country house and seems like Tom could be settling down. Then again, his relationships so far have been more flings and non committal stuff that fizzles out after the 3 month infatuation mark ends so let's see where this one falls, serious or another short term girlfriend.

Maybe he has been taking time off from projects in part to give a new relationship a decent chance? It must be extremely difficult to get anything to last beyond the magic 3 month marker if you are off to a set that’s miles away.
Although the blessed Jarthy did last a lot longer than that. Thinking about it, didn’t that relationship get going during another quiet period? I’m trying to remember. Was it 2013, when he did a lot of Thor 2 promo and not much else? No coincidence there, methinks.

I felt like there was a period earlier this year when he really dropped out of sight. Since TayTo, there's usually been some sighting - out for a run, in a coffee shop, at a gas station - about once a week, but for several weeks there was nothing. This was not too long after the country house rumors. Was he away setting up his new household? On a vacay with the new gf? In South Sudan shooting more footage for the documentary? Off filming alternate endings for Loki's exit from the MCU? Only time will tell, and time ain't talkin'.
I had to google it, but yes, he and JA were spotted at Wimbledon in the summer of 2013.
Maybe the woman is JA. He was spotted with her in a cafe before the infamous Met Gala where he met TS.
Whomever it is Tom is at a better time at his life, and considering his age, to settle down since it seems he's not traveling for work nowadays.
Or maybe its just another friend and the country house was just a way to make money and rentng it to rich people.
