Comic Sans is not the right kind of DQN. Mona is better.
( ゚ -゚) I actually write and use custom CSS files to make some of the old-tastic looking sites I visit look all shiny/milky like these horseshit "Web 2.0" sites...
( ゚ -゚) ... but I get bored and stop halfway so there's no use uploading them anywhere. Plus it's just not classy.
>You can do nothing to change the size of the page
Except, you know, like I said, use a different one. Like, one you write yourself. I rather like blue moon. It cuts down on the huge amount of spacing between objects on the page there for fitting more posts on within the screen, which is goo seeing as how my netbook is a horrible 800x600. But on other computers with larger screens and/or resolutions I use Pseud0ch.
> Except, you know, like I said, use a different one. Like, one you write yourself.
YOU ARE FETCHING THE PAGE FROM 4-CH.NET.
YOU DO NOT OWN 4-CH.NET.
YOU ARE NOT SQUEEKS.
Unless you are.
In which case, sorry.
>>325
No, I'm not Espeon. I don't think the boy I like comes here.
( ゚ -゚) Though at the same time, if you are that boy, I'd be somewhat relieved.
>>341-342
I know one girl and zero boys, so if you're a heterosexual female there's a 100% chance it's me.
'sup?
>>343
I'm a homosexual male. I guess that's disappointing to both of us; sorry.
My cat, so soft~
Mmm, black tea.
Ah, warm blankets, such a wonderful paradise~
Some days, I just feel like eating a muffin.
>>349, do you have the statistically implausible combination of yellow eyes and amblyopia?
>>350
Ooh, I have amblyopia! It's funny because while my parents were taking me to various opticians when I was a kid, I managed to conclude on my own that the sight problems I have must be related to the neural connections between my eye and my brain.
My irises are only yellow on the inside, though. Not to mention that I'm not >>349.
>>351
Because your lust for muffins suggested to me that you might possibly be Derpy Hooves.
In the banner at the top, at the part where it says "ドキュン!ドキュン!ドキュン!", there are two small black lines on the far right of the frame. I wonder what they are and why they are there.
>>355
I was thinking about this thread. And the thread existed!
>>357
Oh hell. Can't be unseen. Everyone here is going to waste just a few seconds staring at that today and won't finish some important project. The cascading failure resulting will probably cause the collapse of humanity or something. GOOD JOB. YOU'VE DOOMED US ALL.
>>359
I'm already a victim of this presumably Jewish conspiracy.
I am worried about the girl who got dragged away by Christians on /personal/. I hope she is strong and they do not break her.
>>359
How could the demise of but five insignificant dokyuns doom humanity ?
>>364
There's a hidden /dqn/ board on 4-ch too. He was probably talking about those guys. (Bonus points if you can find it.)
>>357
Upon looking closely in an image editor, you can see that the spacing between the black lines is identical to the spacing between the left column of the キ in キターーーーー! that comes next. If that's not what it is then I have no idea.
>>365
shut up, don't talk about it.
there is no second /dqn/ board.
It gets like, zero posts per day anyway.
Why does an almost dead board need a "secret" board?
>>369
How is /dqn/ almost dead? It gets, what, at least thirty posts a day, I'd say.
> Hey, I came over after work today and you weren't home...
We're meeting on Friday. Remember?
> Wait, so today's Thursday?? I almost missed work tomorrow!
This man is an engineer. Our species is doomed.

Guh, I hate this game. It ate up so much of my life. And it doesn't feel like you're doing anything (even playing a game) after a few weeks straight. You're just...hitting keys in an order you memorized. And it's frustrating if you don't. There isn't even music any more. You're just hitting keys. You know the keys, hit them. No no, you can't have a new simfile pack until you get at least an A on all of these ones, me.
In the end it's just irritating pattern memorization that messes with my OCD in all the worst ways. And somewhat ironically, I'm a Touhou fan.
speaking of games, everyone go look at that skyrim thread on /games/
>>376 I tried to go to that board but I took an arrow to the knee.
>>376
I really feel bad about Skyrim. Mainly because:
I think perhaps I just hate fun.
I feel bad for letting that guy buy me Skyrim after I pirated it and beat it the month before.
>>380
Perhaps. Again, I can't claim to be vastly different. Nor can bored programmers who occupied their time with Maze War, or teenagers who sat in their rooms playing Jet Set Willy.
I just don't like that a whole "subculture" has sprung up around it. People have hobbies and similar interests--great. But there's just something uncomfortable about people identifying as "gamers" and coming up with their own in-jokes and memes and whatnot.
I feel like a pretentious hypocrite.
>>377
I heard that joke for a week before I got the game but all the guards in the game say "arron in the knee" and not "arrow to the knee". What is up with that?
>>378
I'm having a lot of fun with the game. Also Xbox.
>>381
It's always "been its own subculture" man. From the days of reprogramming an Atari in your basement, to the days of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow players challenging each other to a battle on the playground at school, to today where people have Quake or Halo LAN partys with 4 plasma screen TVs in their living room.
The problem are those fucking hipster douchecanoes who play angry birds on their iPad/iPhone and say "GAMER 4 LYFE! I LOVE 9GAG!" And don't even get me started on "gamer girls".
People have crap memory, so it morphs into a more obvious form.
Play it again, sam.
>I LOVE 9GAG
The what now?
>Quake or Halo LAN partys
I thought ``gamers'' nowadays played Call Of Duty on-line or something along those lines, or am I wrong?
Life is wonderful!
la~ la la la~~

You reminded me of this song:

Nah. That's just normals and their kids jumping on a trend that had marked to them via the almighty TV. Image very related.

As for my thought right now, I HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO SO I SHOULD PROBABLY GET OFF CHANNEL4
Why do things not be self-contained units? Like in contemporary times we imagine, say, an album. That album is made up of songs. Is this a recent thing? Sometimes classical music is confusingly organized. Perhaps the apparently "simple" notion of artist - album - track is new. Maybe the terminology has just changed. Same with different media in different cultures. Is that doujinshi a sequel to the previous one? How do I know which to read next? Is this truly as confusing as I'm making it out to be? Of course every person has to make one thing, then the next. That's just logical. Or is it? I don't even know.
>>390
Not sure if this is what you mean, but...
Artists do sometimes produce nodal points which are intended to be self-contained or at least connect in non-linear ways. A number of mainstream TV shows are intended to make sense when watched in any order, for viewers that come in late in the season. In music there's Ilkae's Pistachio Island, "best heard on shuffle." In anime there's Haruhi, aired out of chronological order. In literature there's Nabokov's "Pale Fire", where the annotations make up half the book, causing the reader to flip back and forth between the poem and annotations out of order, trying to solve the mystery.
Overall though, humans tend to show a preference for linearity, probably because we ourselves are stuck in linear time.
Espeon was her?
My computer has gotten fucking slow
I sleep too much
/lounge/ owns
Terrible. Absolutely horrible. Why did I even bother to endure it?
Anyone played Katawa Shoujo? Here's a man who plays guitar bettter than I do, and has Rins disability.

Why can't I have gotten a >>400 GET today
The more I play this game, the more I am certain that there is a curse on my life.
Touhous 1-5 have the best music, or I find their soundtracks most pleasant.
Thanks to the kindly VIPPER who helped me fix my DQN captcha problems!
I'm using a tumblr to post original content. Am I doing this wrong?
vc: faghose. Seriously.
>>406
No, everyone else is doing it wrong.
Seriously, I would use Tumblr if 80% of the blogs weren't teenagers reposting other teenagers' reposts.
Espeon is Takeshi Kitano of DQN.
I have no idea what username to use on this place I'm about to register. Any ideas?
>>409
Fart_Commander
Whenever I type "dqn" into my Web browser I hum "dokyun dokyun dokyun-kugi" to myself to the tune of "gossun gossun gossun-kugi" from the opening of Marisa Stole the Precious Thing.
>>403 I have only played it on my winderps box. Ive downloaded the nix version but I don't know what to do with it. How do I insall it?
>>410,411
I just clog my thoughts with wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww and post what I feel.
I'd like to register a feline domain name. I want it to be related to space exploration as well. I'm out of ideas. Please, help me.
>>413
It's just a .tar.bz2 archive with the executables inside, similar to a .zip. You can probably right-click > Extract... or something in a fancy GUI, but this is how to do it using the command line:
tar xjf katawa_shoujo_blahblahblah.tar.bz2
cd Katawa_Shoujo_blahblahblah
./Katawa_Shoujo.sh
You may need to chmod +x Katawa_Shoujo.sh
before that last step to make it executable. Then you're good to go.

Artist - album has only existed for ~100 years (exact date disputed). Artist - album - track has only existed for ~50 years (8-track... unless you you were the fucking Rain Man of vinyl seeking, in which case fair enough). Both of those forms took a while to catch on.
Classical music and the like is not actually that hard to understand in terms of organization, particularly because 19th- and 20th-century musicologists played "organize everyone's music" like it was Pokemon. If you see something listed with an Opus+number, that is a good sign, because that was usually the composer's personal ordering system. Not that they'll be in order, or that every Opus was ever made available (some composers would be arbitrary about it or grant an opus to paper destined for the wastebin).
>>407
I use tumblr when I feel like DAMMIT FUCK THE GROUP PROJECT I AM WATCHING A CASCADE OF SHERLOCK AND CAT GIFS THIS IS IMPORTANT. The reposting of posts wouldn't be so godawful if there were just some way of organizing that shit. Instead you are at the mercy of people's bad tagging at best.
This is all the same post because it is all about how people don't organize their shit. It is easier to shoot first and hope you're important so that someone else picks up the mess. Easier than being OCD and dying young.
>>418
This is so great, thank you. I wish .my registration wasn't restricted!
>>419
Why not use a symbolic link?
ln -s Katawa_Shoujo.sh /usr/local/bin/katawashoujo
Though I haven't read the actual script so maybe it's a little more involved.
These are the only ones I've actually read. Other ones which I've heard are good but have no experience with include Planetarian and Clannad.
>>426
You forgot to mention that Saya no Uta is an incredibly erotic game.
>>424
Thank you, but I'd prefer to avoid national domains. Registrars tend to charge a bag of gold for them. I'd like more simple like org or net.

I had awful dreams last night. I wandered around in pitch black buildings while it rained heavily outside. I think I was in a dorm room of some kind. Near the end (before I woke up) I was wandering around in some big building in Minecraft made completely out of obsidian with some glass windows, too, but I didn't want to break any. It was dark and rainy there, too. For some reason, Sparky4 also lived in the dormitories where I wandered, and everyone else there was faceless and it was hard to understand what they said. Sparky was crazy as ever though so I just stayed away.
