Hail majestic corporate light
Heaven born and ever bright
How our spirit like the waves
As the breath of thine awakes
And now the night of weeping shall be
The morn of song
Ah! We are those whose thunder shakes the skies
The thin spun life

Home of fadeless splendour
Of flowers that bear no thorn
Here may the blind and hungry come
And light and food receive
Here mighty springs of consolation rise
To cheer the fainting mind
And re-creation find

So overcome thy fear
And burst into sudden blaze
Come blind fury with abhorred shears
And slit the thin spun life
Ah! Sobbing with their human sort of wail
Thy justice fear

Walk in shadow, walk in dread
Loosefish walk as like one dead
One drop in a winter sea
No more to rise forever
Anything down there about your souls
Will smash the sun alight
Ah! Yield week in, weak out from morn to night
Feelers from across the sea
Come crawling over thee

One drop in a winter sea
No more to rise forever
One drop in a winter sea
No more to rise forever
Come blind fury with abhorred shears
And slit the thin spun life
Ah! Sobbing with their human sort of wail
The thin spun life
We are those whose thunder shakes the skies
Whose eyes this atom globe surveys
Thy justice fear
Hooray!

Eh? I loved the FIFA games. I played them to death, until my control pads broke and the AC connection wore out. One should refrain from jumping to conclusions in ze future, but you're absolutely right in me being a bored mofo with not much to do. Otherwise I would be impregnating the whole of the town's female population right now.

Excluding duelling (since it is forbidden in most countries and appears to be declining in favour even in those countries in which it is permitted tacitly or otherwise), there seem to remain two primary and quite distinct uses for the pistol. The first of those uses is for target shooting (i.e. deliberate shooting with a view to getting all shots in the ten-ring on a stationary target). Its second use is as a weapon of combat.

The battle is decided, says Müller, in the heads of the fighters.

'Recently at my house a cat was seen watching a bird on a treetop and, after they had locked gazes for some time, the bird let itself fall as if dead between the cat’s paws, either intoxicated by its own imagination or drawn by some attracting power of the cat.'

This message is from Equal Times who started the petition "Stop the Net Grab," which you signed on Change.org.
The World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT) meeting in Dubai has ended – and thanks to your efforts we have held off the attack on Internet freedom, at least for now.
The two-week conference unfolded as many feared it it would.
Countries with a history of censorship took every chance to get the internet under the control of the ITUs International Telecommunication Regulations, and, for the most part, failed to achieve that. Iran in particular severely overplayed its hand in trying to force other countries to legitimise censorship via a UN treaty.
That failure was in large measure due to intense community concern around the world, with hundreds of thousands of people signing petitions (including 100,000 generated from the union campaign), lobbying of governments to show the level of concern, and media attention.
This was achieved despite the fact that the ITU tried to limit public comment, did not engage civil society, kept most of the really contentious proposals away from public scrutiny and disingenuously denied that the Dubai conference would be about Internet regulation.
Around 50 countries, from industrialised and developing worlds, have not signed the new treaty, and many of them publicly objected to the attempts to bring the internet under the control of ITU regulations.
It is no coincidence that the countries which have been most successful in bringing internet connectivity to their populations are amongst those which refused to sign.
A very worrying new ITU standard on Deep Packet Inspection (the most intrusive technology for monitoring, controlling and even changing the content of internet traffic) was sneaked through by the ITU in a technical meeting a few days before the WCIT conference took place.
Since there was virtually no chance for civil society to look at this standard before it was sneaked through, assessment of its possible implications is still ongoing, but it is absolutely clear that privacy and freedom of speech concerns were NOT properly addressed in the discussions and the outcome of this standard (despite the concerns of countries such as Germany).

The Dubai conference revealed for the entire world to see the deep divisions between those who want an open Internet, and those who want internet communications to be controlled by governments against the interests of free trade and freedom of expression. The conference in fact probably worsened those divisions, especially because of the lack of transparency before and even during the event.
Those governments that want to bring the Internet under their control will not stop at Dubai. Nationally, many of those countries will continue to clamp down on citizen’s net activities, and they will continue to try and get UN cover for that. The debate will continue, and risks becoming even more polarised. We must maintain the pressure to maintain the existing Multi-Stakehoder mechanisms through which the internet is managed where all interested parties have an equal say.
A lot of vigilance and engagement from civil society will be needed to keep the internet open, so that global economic activity, labour, environment and human rights, can continue to be defended. The United Nations itself has an important role to play in this, and should be more active in supporting bodies like the Internet Governance Forum.
ITUC and Greenpeace have written to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on your behalf drawing attention to the non-transparent activities of the ITU. These letters were influential in putting the entire United Nations on notice that the ITU is over-reaching its mandate. Click the link below to see the Letter to Ban Ki-Moon:
http://www.ituc-csi.org/IMG/pdf/letter_to_sg_un_ban_ki_moon.pdf
Frank La Rue, UN Special Rapporteur on the Freedom of Expression usefully supports our view. http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=43813&Cr=internet&Cr1=#.UNMvUHeWTq4
Civil society must be ready to push the UN in the right direction and engage actively in the future debates around Internet governance.
There are many other crucial concerns that must be addressed around freedom of expression, dealing with intellectual property concerns and bringing Internet access, to the net to the billions of people who still don’t have it. The ITU has clearly demonstrated that it is not the place where this can happen. Thus it is imperative that the multi-stakeholder community, which has grown and driven the Internet, must remain active, and distinct from those corporate interests, which see the internet simply as a profit centre.
We thank you again for your support. This is most certainly not the end of the journey. We must reinvigorate this campaign in the New Year and l will be letting you know how you can continue to help us to make a stand for Internet Freedom
Sharan Burrow
ITUC General Secretary

I still think it's interesting so many people are looking for anime "pay-offs" in Rebuild. If EVA should have imparted anything it's that not only did it break down the tropes of anime for the fun of its academic endeavor (otakus playing with the medium), but that it also broke down the emotional prostitution most anime employs (otakus critiquing themselves). There's no gentle conflict ascension for the protagonist to ultimately overcome, no love triangle, no pandering, simplistic interpersonal resolution nor happiness guaranteed for every identifiable character. EVA is a discussion on anime both in the story itself and in its desired affect on the viewer, hoping to actually distress and anger those typically used to allowing wish fulfillment plot devices to sooth their often lonely, depressed hearts. "Anime cannot be your Other; anime cannot be your warm blanket, the pleasant looking pacifier for sensitive souls. Sooner or later you have to replicate these things yourself, with people. This isn't real. It isn't helping you the way you want it to, and it's keeping you useless both to yourself and, worst of all, to others."

The plight of Shinji :: The plight of its viewers. Those characters you'd like to love him (you) and make him (you) feel good can't do that, especially when they can't fulfill those requirements for themselves. But why would Anno be such a prick, purposefully trolling the viewers when he realizes what anime is for them? Precisely because he wants them to change, just as he wanted himself to change. The very fact we have terms like "3DPD," "waifu" and "shipping" demonstrates we're as bad (or worse) as Anno claims.

None of this is new, and most of it you know. But, IMO, hoping to walk away happy from EVA is asking it to be something it was never meant to be in the first place. It should amaze, wonder, disorient and disturb; but, more appropriately, "(Not) Everybody finds love in the end."

Could someone tell me what exactly I'm looking at here? I'm viewing a huge number of open FTP directories, each labeld with a year, I open any given year and I see many random media files all assembled in so other real order. All the video files seem to be really low res. However I really like this image: ftp://ftp.scene.org/pub/parties/2012/endoftheworld12/wild/jugi-astu.jpg

I've got a much better idea. Let's ban all Democrats from owning guns. The gray-ponytail crowd shouldn't mind; they believe their index fingers were made for smoking joints. The ruling class elite shouldn't mind either, after all they can pay for armed protectors. It's those who make up the Democratic base who are the most violent in our society; the union thugs, inner city gangstas, illegal aliens, etc. Yes, let's ban all Democrats from owning guns.

Description : This is a huge conversion WAD that

contains over 400 new sprite and graphic frames
and a little under 100 new sounds. All new
original weapons, including the never before
seen Penis Gun!! All the new enimes are original
(execpt the high-tech semi-invisable guy, which
I stole from the "Obtic" WAD), and some of the
sounds are original as well, although most are taken
from other WADs. This WAD isn't simply an "add-on"
WAD, it directly changes the play of the game.
Once installed, it can be combined with other WADs,
so you can play it on any of your favorite levels.

*** Note: It has 3 versions: a vulgar version, complete
with Penis Demons, the Penis Gun, and proper
vulgarities in the messages across the top;
an unvulgar version for those with weak stomachs,
little sisters, or protective parents; and a
deathmatch version.

Add to that the ease of obtaining extramarital sex, and there’s nothing all that compelling about marriage. Finally, because men and women really are different by nature, when they don’t rely on each other they often don’t like each other much, either, because they have such different interests. That’s a generalization, of course (some couples do have a lot in common and share common interests), but it’s probably true that in non-sexual settings most men don’t really like hanging out with women all that much.

Donkey Dong 8 up, 7 down

A game homosexuals play, themed after it's heterosexual cousin "thumb wrestling". Donkey Dong is played a surface equal to the sum of the two participants' aggregate penis lengths, minus 4" inches. Players start by having erect two penises next to each other, with 2" of overlap.

Once the game is started, the two players compete for position on the top, with the intent of pinning the opponents penis to the table so that he cannot move up or to the side. Once an opponent is pinned for a 3 count, the victor is awarded the title of "Donkey Dong".

Pulling the penis toward the owner from under a pin results in an immediate loss. Losing an erection also results in an immediate loss, as the opponent no longer has the opportunity to pin his opponent. Players may not move body, use hands, or use any other objects during the competition.
vvpimp69vv was playing donkey dong with his roommate, Eddie, and won every match. He is the best Donkey Dong player in the land!

It should have been over but he's still to this day trying to track me down from half way across the globe as both of us don't use real identities anywhere on the internet anymore and our real names turn up a black hole. Once in awhile I'll meet up with some old friends or employers when I come back to my old city for holidays and they'll tell me about how this sweaty-toothed madman keeps calling looking for me. I will also from time to time see various articles or comments written in my name which is him trying to lure me out of obscurity to resume our epic battle of the ages.

This is the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. For many years you have seen us as lights in the skies. We speak to you now in peace and wisdom as we have done to your brothers and sisters all over this, your planet Earth.
We come to warn you of the destiny of your race and your world so that you may communicate to your fellow beings the course you must take to avoid the disaster which threatens your world, and the beings on our worlds around you. This is in order that you may share in the great awakening, as the planet passes into a New Age of Aquarius. The New Age can be a time of great peace and evolution for your race, but only if your rulers are made aware of the evil forces that can overshadow their judgments.
Be still now and listen, for your chance may not come again.
All your weapons of evil must be removed. The time for conflict is now past and the race of which you are a part may proceed to the higher stages of its evolution if you show yourselves worthy to do this. You have but a short time to learn to live together in peace and goodwill.
Small groups all over the planet are learning this, and exist to pass on the light of the dawning New Age to you all. You are free to accept or reject their teachings, but only those who learn to live in peace will pass to the higher realms of spiritual evolution.
Hear now the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. Be aware also that there are many false prophets and guides operating in your world. They will suck your energy from you - the energy you call money and will put it to evil ends and give you worthless dross in return.
Your inner divine self will protect you from this. You must learn to be sensitive to the voice within that can tell you what is truth, and what is confusion, chaos and untruth. Learn to listen to the voice of truth which is within you and you will lead yourselves onto the path of evolution.
This is our message to our dear friends. We have watched you growing for many years as you too have watched our lights in your skies. You know now that we are here, and that there are more beings on and around your Earth than your scientists admit.
We are deeply concerned about you and your path towards the light and will do all we can to help you. Words such as “manhole” and “manlock,” have also come under scrutiny, but suitable replacements have proved difficult to find. However, this gives me an idea:
Instead of trying to neuter every word, why don’t we simply shoot for equal representation? We could just switch the gender of every other male-gendered word.
For example, instead of freshman, we could have “freshwoman,” and instead of manhole, “womanhole.” Other logical changes could include “womenstruation” from menstruation, and perhaps “womanatee” for the slow, portly sea creature.

> Remember when I used to be obsessed with Maria Ozawa and needed to have ALL her films and it sucked cause a ton of them were 14 gig blueray files. Ended up drunkenly deleting the 100 hours of raw footage for my girlfriends student film final project off both drives on the mac we shared cause the thought of not completing my collection was giving me panic attacks. I figure the odds were she wouldn't need to use the raw footage for awhile so I kept the titles the same. Never forget the screams of "what the fuck!!!" followed by hysterical sobbing when she discovered 6 months of work replaced with ultra high def Japanese bukkake porn.

what the fuck am i reading
