A freight truck carrying beer cans collided with a train at a railway crossing in the Mexican city of Gomez Palacio on Monday.
Hundreds of people rushed to the scene to salvage as many cans as possible.
Local media reported that although there were no deaths or injuries, the accident did cause cause severe traffic jams.

I went to visit a friend at a very hippy college before I deployed overseas. There was a guy there they named "future kid". He would ask you what year it was, or the date, and always seemed exited.
When I left I was lucky enough to run into him at the airport. Going through security they made him put his "wand" through the X-ray. He informed them that it was very delicate, and was given to him from a king when he went back in time. They replied with a "uh huh, that's nice, please put it in the bucket." This was after they freaked a little when he asked if he had to put his magic wand through or if he could just carry it with him.
After we both went through he noticed me in uniform and asked if I was going over seas. I replied yes and told him Afghanistan. He then asked if I wanted him to put a spell of protection over me. I politely declined.

We previously reported that lysine is synthesized through the alpha-aminoadipate pathway in Thermus thermophilus HB27 (T. Kosuge and T. Hoshino, FEMS Microbiol. Lett., 169, 361-367, 1998), which was the first report demonstrating the synthesis of lysine through the alpha-aminoadipate pathway in Bacteria. LYS20 and LYS4, which respectively encode homocitrate synthase and homoaconitate hydratase have already been identified as the lysine biosynthetic genes in T. thermophilus HB27. In the present work, we examined eight other Thermus strains for the existence of genes belonging to the alpha-aminoadipate pathway. BamHI- or BglII-digested total DNAs from the eight strains were analyzed by Southern hybridization using LYS20 or LYS4 as a DNA probe. DNA fragments that hybridized with one or both of the genes were detected in seven of the Thermus strains but not in T. ruber. The sizes of the fragments that hybridized with the LYS20 and LYS4 probes were the same among T. thermophilus HB27, T. thermophilus HB8, "T. caldophilus" GK24, and four "T. flavus" strains. For example, a similar 4.3-kb fragment was detected in each of the above seven strains. In this fragment, four open reading frames were found downstream of the LYS4 gene in T. thermophilus HB27. Gene disruption experiments revealed that three open reading frames are involved in lysine biosynthesis in T. thermophilus HB27. These results strongly suggest that the lysine biosynthetic gene cluster for the alpha-aminoadipate pathway is widely distributed in the genus Thermus.

Sorry to bring this up again but pedantry should not be defeated by an initial rebuttal. I’ve listened to 45-50 seconds in an unreasonable amount of times and it is a definite ‘be’ sound after ‘there’, which is actually ‘their’ not ‘there’.
It is definitely ‘I know that they don’t know their board. I propose….’ It makes much more sense than ‘ I know that they don’t know, therefore I propose…..’. If it was the latter then, strictly speaking, the sentence needs a demonstrative pronoun. It should be ‘ I know that they don’t know that, therefore I propose…..’ which it obviously isn’t.
However, even allowing for incorrect usage I will still argue for ‘I know that they don’t know their board’, on the grounds that it is a really well crafted line. ‘He knows his board’ was a comment muttered with grudging respect during my short lived career on a pub darts team in the mid 80s. Never unfortunately delivered in my direction. A darts player who ‘knows his board’ knows all of his ‘outs’ (eg. 101 can be achieved with a checkout of Triple 17 and Bull). It therefore fits the theme of the verse which is that in Soap Opera darts ‘cheers are raised for the bull’ for no reason other than the participant has managed to hit the exact centre of the board, rather than realising that there might be some significance in that event in terms of the game. In other words he doesn’t know his board as he hasn’t realised that the bull is in fact ‘a double and an out’. The spectators are merely cheering the fact that he has hit the smallest target on the board.
