Textboards in general tend to have a unique userbase in that most tend not to be terminally online. There have been several posts to the effect of "I would've posted this, but now I write it in a journal." Or "I got married last year and I'm checking up on things here".
It wouldnt surprise me if the Chinese/Xiaboo dokyuns browsed Sina Weibo or WeChat.
I know for a fact the British users post on (or at least read) 2000s-era football forums and there's probably a Kiwi Farmer because of some of the CTRL+Vs about its owner.
From some of the Wikimedia-related postings, there's probably a Wikipedian among us as well.
