A lot has been made over the popularization and promotion of secularized Asian religious practices as "self-care" because of the popularity and material efficacy of meditation, but I think pushing a secularized TCM is a step too far.

If you do not believe in Qi and meridians, there is no reason to try it, especially as a lot of self-care manuals recommend acupuncture for some reason. I am curious if there is some sort of racket (e.g. the people publishing these articles and books are invested in TCM and meditation instructors) going on here.
