And I miss Flash, before it was unceremoniously executed and deprecated last year. :c Thanks to the efforts of Fulp and co, however, we can still run the old Flash content through an HTML5-based emulator. Still not the same though.
Really sucks to think back to the Internet culture and climate of the time and realize how almost all of it has either faded away into the fabric of time or been diluted to an unrecognizable facade of its former self. Seems like textboards and the lesser-known IBs are the only true reprieve from this phenomenon anymore.

Dial up wasn't even good. Sure you get used to it, but would you really go back to that? Hell probably wouldn't even be possible with how websites are today.
Floppy discs are alright, but I doubt most people who miss these even have files that would fit on it.

Flash "sites" were pretty shit, but flash animations, games and loops were (are) awesome. When they weren't lagging to hell.
Most of flash people saw were flash ads and flash cookies. Advertisements and tracking. Flash was created as an animation tool, and I'd rather it stayed as such.

Windows has and does have its flaws but it works. However, anything after Windows 7 is outright unusable and this is where I will say anything would be better.

If you really want Linux to become the "master" then I suggest you stop Linux being a literal cancer splitting everything up.
If you really want Linux to be used in retail which I find laughable then ship a low priced laptop with ubuntu unity.
Much as I hate to say it, seems Chinese developers got it right with the desktop environments like Kylin or whatever else there is. People want to use what they already used to, not some weird ass shit like GNOME or KDE which both suck by the way.
