4th'd! Once they get sent to their own board, we can finally go back to being dead.
Is this ironic or sincere? And would it work?
The thread was made as a joke, but it would be pretty funny to see this actually happen.

But really, it's a good idea.
i agree 100%, keep the site clean, fugg metafags
Haven't you heard? The "dead board" fad has left us, the latest craze is complaining about low-quality posts and accusing other users of being from 4chan!
I think some asshat posted 4-ch on some /g/ thread about net nostalgia and now we have an infestation of wannabe "programmers" that use soyjack etiquette in all of their posts
>>11
Pretty sure they got bored already and left. Most 4channers cannot stand not getting replies every minute. They are addicted to dopamine.

From my observation, it seems it's a common phenomenon across all low traffic forums. Users will typically comment on how dead it is or try to create a scheme to attract more users. I've seen many forums die but 4channel seems to stick around. Maybe it's the tenacity of the maintainers or it's users?
Please ssz, General is filled with "HI GUYZ IS THIS BAORD DEAD?" threads. This board needs to happen. Put a big red flashing banner atop all the other boards telling them that "dead board" threads go to the "is 4-ch dead?" board.
Maybe move the shittier threads there as well. We could use our own version of Limbo.
Cooked up something and transferred over the first ferry-load of threads. Putting up a small announcement once I've finished styling it.

I feel like I ghostwrote this thread.

We need a mega board which shows the top most active threads.
>>20 You can find that bullshit elsewhere
I double >>20, lack of it bothered me enough to write my own userscript that does a similar thing. Though, main feed you can customize by "subscribing" to boards and threads that interest you is much more useful than just an overboard.
>>20,22 Nahh is it really so hard to just look at the boards?
>>23
It’s not about looking at the boards. Sometimes someone just wants to see the top recently bumped threads across the whole site. Some boards are pretty quiet so the top posts can still be relatively less active. It’s just easier to have one webpage showing the hot threads in once place.
bumping is gay
>>20
This is a BBS site. You should be using an RSS feeder to notify you.
>It’s not about looking at the boards. Sometimes someone just wants to see the newest posts on the boards
>You are banned! ;_;
Lol, took a while to see what lazy triggers would oust the ideologically crippled britfag in charge of this place. And here I thought the removals of posts shitting on chinks and russians many months ago were justifiable attempts at combatting /pol/ rhetoric on a supposedly apolitical place.
Coupled with the removal of ye olde threads and the crippling filters on /img/ it's safe to confirm four dash tchee has entered it's permanent and irrecoverable enshittification phase.
The Israel/Hamas thread was moved to /current/ (where it belongs), and your post was moved to the trash (where it belongs) for being remarkably close to the type of garbage you occasionally see on the Secret Area (where you belong (?)). If it's any consolation, (I think) this is the first non-spam/pizza ban in over a year :)
>>31
What's the secret area? It sounds like something bad like 99chan's old hellboard for banned users, but you make it sound enticing.

4-ch must modernize!
Embrace newfags, it's not like this place has much of a unique culture anyway.
>>39
Newfags are already welcome. What are you suggesting, not telling them to kill themselves when they talk about sussin troon jakson bussin cap fr? Accepting that kind of behavior will drive away the last remaining posters.
>>40
I got the impression a couple months back that the users of this website want to keep it a sekrit club
>>41 It's not that it should be a secret, just that new posters who ain't rockin with the vibe should get with the programme a bit. Lurk to see how things work then make interesting posts. Don't shit up the board with crappy posts and lamestream memes. I only half-agree with this, tbh I find it quite funny when some new guy makes crappy posts, when they don't really “get it”, and when they get burned for it. When they post with a tripcode, they run the risk of being marked by the regulars - I can't recommend it to amateurs :-P The posts themselves are annoying but the spectacle is a bit entertaining.
>it's not like this place has much of a unique culture anyway.
I think it does actually, I like it more than any other textboard and that's why I've been coming here for so long. Perhaps you haven't lurked deeply enough. There's a nuance that new visitors miss at first.
>>42
No I've lurked and I get it. It's a textboard and it's English. There's an emphasis on ascii and a hint of le oldfag culture. What I mean is there's rarely any actual discussion and most of the time people seem to post just to post.
>>43 That just sounds exactly like the kind of superficial impression that I imagined. 4-ch has a flavour not found in other English textboards I lurk. Not every post has the flavour. Some do, and then it's delicious. Some posts are trying very hard to capture it. I will taste them all
