Any posts with text art formatting already show up in submona font on mobile, but how about making the entire boards of DQN and AA Bar use submona on mobile too? They use AA font everywhere on desktop anyways.
It'll help view character threads and posts that should have been made with text art formatting but weren't.

• Picked header images for /iaa/ and /japan/ (tentatively). /games/ and /current/ are still open for submissions but I've cleaned up the notification messages for now

remove the search bar from the front page on 4-ch.net, it makes the site look like a static landing page and google is bad. the "join in" button could be a bit more obvious. quite happy about new management and its nice to see this place is looking good.

I think the idea behind keeping it is from the fact that it has been there since the middle of 2007, though not in the years before that. Back then Google wasn't as soulless (or at least not well known to be), it was just a basic search engine and it allowed some static Web 1.0 sites or DOS prone sites to get a search bar too by pushing the work onto Google.

This is a better idea than outright removal. Not only is the google search bar http which makes the search input public for pretty much every ISP you're routed through, it's also routed through google which is sad given the state of affairs in that company and how much data they collect.
If the search bar remains as is I'd like to at least request switching it from http to https so my browser doesn't alert me about how insecure it is, the google logo alone is enough of a reminder. Switching the form action url from http to https is enough, I tested it.

Bug: Going to Hades resets your theme on other boards, most likely I am guessing it saves it as your new theme on visit instead of just showing a temporary theme on that board, and then when you go back to another board that doesn't have the Hades theme it reverts to default.

Replace the /iaa/ banner with a cropped hikkikomori picture circa early 2000s. Either that or a cropped screenshot of an actual dial-up BBS from the 90s. Something classier than western drawn animu vaporwave plox.

No, make an actual file uploader, with zip and such. Just a list of files, with a "upload new one" form at the top. Copy japs with their web 1.0 approach. Main use of /img/ and /uploader/ should be hosting for the rest of text boards, and not their own things.

This site looks weird on mobile phones, real 2ch actually updated itself to work better with those, but this site stays in its original form. Which isn't half bad for a museum it is. I'd probably be complaining about it being too modern right now if it actually changed anything.

Also I want to remove every white element from the default scheme, right now katalog, main page, and error messages all have blindingly white background. I want to change those to gray.

Anyone else experienced new posts not showing up in the thread immediately? I sometimes post something, open the thread again (by clicking on it from thread list on board main page, the /l50 link), and it doesn't show the post I just made. It only shows up when I refresh the page I just opened. I thought it was a caching issue, but all headers seem to be present.

These themes set 'font-style: normal;' for em, and to detrimental effect, I think, since the em tagged text is not differentiated from the surrounding text.
(Although in the case of amber it seems unintentional, as it does specify bold weight and there simply isn't one--browsers today aren't as enthusiastic about faking bold as much as I remember them being).

Well, the inevitable "ass outta myself" test had to come to mind not long after, of course.
After testing out a mysterious function called "zooming in", it does appear more as though the bold on the amber theme is working, but is simply too subtle to reasonably spot while zoomed out on my ludicrously high DPI display. Basically, it's a flaw in the Chromium logic of how to fake bold in a font that don't have it.

Is there a way to unattach an image on /img/? I tried to post something, but it had already been posted. I went back, and my text was still there, and the image had been removed. But, when I tried to post without the image, it said my captcha had timed out. So I went back and refreshed the page, but this attached my file again. I had to go back to the main page then open the thread again to post.

would it be possible to modify the rss feed to update on new posts rather than just new threads? tohnochan's rss also works this way, and i think it benefits slow sites especially well.

another thing, the dqn rss (https://4-ch.net/rss/dqn.rss) doesn't seem to work, even though the page itself appears normal. i've tried multiple readers and none can parse it for some reason.
