Not only that, but they want to know if any fans would like to come with us! They are having screenings in LA, NYC, and San Fran. (I'm still deciding which I want to attend, but I'll like go see it in LA.)

What do you think, want to go see a movie with us?

This is a very interesting article about Legendary Universal and Skull Island
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/hollywood-gorilla-warfare-s-universal-823715?utm_source=twitter

While here it's about problems regarding CP, which may explain the absence from festivals and all these prescreenings.

"Now that Legendary has moved Kong, that settles a brewing argument over the script's references to Monarch, the secret government entity in Godzilla that employed the characters played by Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins. Obviously, the inclusion of Monarch in Kong is a move to tie the ape into a hoped-for Godzilla "universe."

So, if I understand well what THR is writing, now Kong is back being a sequel and it takes place in modern times? Otherwise how can the same organization from Godzilla exists in the '70?

>>477 it is a shirt that looks like one your grandad would wear. Apparently over at Mr Porter this is a selling point!

481 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-17 15:58 ID:Heaven

This is funny, where I live these cardigans would never be considered that way, but actually very elegant in a csual way, while the grandad shirts would just be considered badly cut and cheap, no grandad would ever wear a shirt like that.

482 Name: Anon : 2015-09-17 15:59 ID:ACqKSePP

And this, though doubtless Ralph Lauren and very expensive, is a grandad jumper. It has a high round neck and a big cable knit pattern. He looks very cute in it but that's him and not the jumper. I am sure my dad (in his 70s) has a jumper like this (not from Ralph Lauren): http://m.weibo.cn/page/tpl?containerid=1005051846858632_-_WEIBO_SECOND_PROFILE_WEIBO&itemid=&title=全部微博#showPic

484 Name: Anon : 2015-09-17 16:20 ID:ACqKSePP

Quite a few of his clothes seem to be stolen from photo shoots or given to him (the boots, the Loki scarf). He only seems to know one shop - the one that sells V neck t shirts. I imagine he will keep them so he doesn't need to shop for the next 5 years!

>>484 true, if you need a V neck tshirt TH is your man.

486 Name: NCP : 2015-09-17 16:50 ID:/TMXnHZt

>>483 I assume Tom will keep the new clothes. He's been given suits for premieres before. Armani or some designer stitched a tag w/ some 'expressly made for Tom Hiddleston' thing in the suit given to Tom for the War Horse premiere. What's weird is, female actresses don't get to keep the premiere clothes they're given, but male actors do. LOL, what's up w/ that?!?

487 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-17 16:54 ID:Heaven

>>486 The suits I have no doubt I was mostly wondering about the casual outifts - Probably because nobody gives men grief for wearing the same suits to multiple RCs while women must always look different, for some obscure reason.

488 Name: Anon : 2015-09-17 17:05 ID:ACqKSePP

>>486 maybe because women's RC outfits are so expensive relatively speaking.

489 Name: NCP : 2015-09-17 20:08 ID:q5xtdNJ8

I get that actors get more red carpet mileage out of 1 suit than actresses get out of 1 dress, but still seems like actresses are shafted. Their rc dresses are sample sizes (another reason why they starve themselves, so they can fit into sample sizes). For actors, their rc suits are custom made, cost a fortune & are just given to them. Actors aren't shamed into forcing themselves to be model thin, it'd be nice if actresses weren't either. But to get back on track, I like how Tom looked at TIFF, even tho he could repeat some of theses suits at future red carpets, I hope he gets a few new ones & tries some different rc looks.

490 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-17 20:23 ID:Heaven

>>489 maybe actresses should just change the game for themselves.

>>495 I fear that with one of his idols so close (RDN), TH may be in danger of letting his nerves get the best of him.

I just don't want him to do something titish! And, God, please, no dancing. No dancing, and no singing.

Just low key class and brief, intelligent answers with touches of humor.

514 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-19 06:48 ID:Heaven

>>512 Don't think so, in one of the numerous TH's threads of this week a few people posted against that so it's probably about those posters. Tbh, I think it's very rude to do so, it's one thing to write elsewhere why you don't like CB anymore, one another to go there.

515 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-19 06:52 ID:Heaven

>>513 I hope not mainly because it would look old? But I don't know this show, is it humorous like the Chatty Man? Because I guess that the host might comment on him dancing in High Rise and asking him to perform, and then what can he do?

516 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-19 07:00 ID:Heaven

517 Name: Anon : 2015-09-19 07:47 ID:ACqKSePP

>>515 Graham Norton is fun and anarchic (though unlike Chatty Man he does not completely set my teeth on edge). I would say dancing is likely.

>>514 I would never go on CB and tell those particular posters what I think. As I think qaz said on a previous thread, everyone comes to the fandom in their own way. On the other hand, it swamps every thread because it is brought up as a response to every comment seemingly. It seems reasonable enough to point that out and say "a bit less please." As I write this I marvel at my naivety expecting people on the Internet to behave in a moderate way!!

518 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-19 09:11 ID:Heaven

>>517 if Norton is like that, it's a good thing we don't have a HR trailer yet, imagine all the gifs on tumblr about his sex scenes and if he were asked about them.

519 Name: qaz : 2015-09-19 09:51 ID:9ueQrr2w

>>495 Oh, finally, I like this show a lot, the host is great (in my opinion), he somehow manages to make his guests relaxed and entertaining, and I was wondering mildly why TH was never on it. I've even seen some musings from other people that maybe GN didn't like him personally, or smth. But probably just because the projects where he was in the lead weren't considered big enough, and huge franchises, like Marvel movies, had other bigger names in them who were invited to promote on the GN.

I do hope that they will not make him dance or do other silly stuff.

520 Name: Anon. : 2015-09-19 12:44 ID:g7mIS63y

>>515 I watched the very first GN shows when I was living in London. Mostly, he made fun of the audience, asking them to share stories and pics. I think he still does. I like the show.

However, some of the stuff he does with stars can be cringe-tastic. I remember him sharing fan fiction stories with D Radcliffe. I think he read the summaries of some of the crazier ones. He also likes to share fan art like Chatty Man did.

I - even if it does seem old and stuffy - don't want TH to have to confront fan fiction summaries. Or anymore fan art.

There are other ways to be funny and entertaining.

521 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-19 13:29 ID:Heaven

>>520 I hope so and it's not really about being old and stuffy, simply it'd be a pity for his upcoming films to be reduced to sex scenes and what his fans do on tumblr.

522 Name: qaz : 2015-09-19 13:45 ID:9ueQrr2w

>>520 Oh yeah, he likes to do that. That's the only thing about the show that I have a slight beef with. Well, the most of TH-related fanfiction probably involves Loki, and he's promoting entirely different movies now (I guess apart from multiple gifs there's not so many fanfics or fanart of those already?), so let's hope GN won't bring it up. Although with him you never know.

523 Name: Anon. : 2015-09-19 14:36 ID:g7mIS63y

>>521 Please, God, do NOT let GN bring up his tag. Hopefully, Luke will put the kibosh on that sort of thing. Time to disassociate himself with Tumblr.

524 Name: Anon. : 2015-09-19 14:40 ID:g7mIS63y

Speaking of the publicist that must not be named. This is from a TIFF best and worst list. It came under the 'weird' category.

'Even Tom Hiddleston’s unflappable personal publicist, Luke Windsor, has his own rabid fan following, including Tumblr tribute sites and hashtags. Celebrity has come to this.'

I don't even want to know what this woman witnessed that led her to this knowledge.

525 Name: qaz : 2015-09-19 15:06 ID:9ueQrr2w

>>524 Not long after I became interested in TH and was reading various and lots of stuff on Tumblr, I've seen a couple of blogs dedicated to LW. Some fans were saying that they even tried to get his autograph (SMH). He declined, though, so I give him props for that.

526 Name: Couch Potato : 2015-09-19 15:08 ID:Heaven

>>524 I wonder if he has fans because it's a sneaky way to get closer to TH, or people are just too stupid to know better. But of course fans started a fan account on fb I think for TH's security person/driver.

527 Name: Kate : 2015-09-19 15:16 ID:iEUUZT6a

>>520

The Graham Norton show has changed a lot since the very early days - you still get the odd silly skit, and the odd embarassing website about one of the celeb guests, but not so much anymore, and generally on people's 2nd or 3rd appearance when they're running out of good stories.

I'm pretty sure with De Niro and Branagh on the couch they'll have more than enough to talk about. I expect some impressions will be trotted out, but dancing seems relatively unlikely - especially as he'll be promoting Crimson Peak.

528 Name: Anon : 2015-09-19 16:49 ID:ENAdWJtN

If anything I feel as GN has become more of a celebrity in his own right, he talks too much. So less time for shenanigans of any kind. I am surprised they put 3 big hitters together on one show. Maybe they too want to see TH struck dumb with admiration!

Nw3 said it didn't bother her but stopped posting shortly after vinividi started, so I assumed it at least scared her a little and maybe made her take a break from the blog. Also around the same time a couple of names got thrown out on Town Bike of who nw3 anon could be, and maybe nw3 quit posting because one of them was right.

If she is worried about her aunt telling her off then she is more likely to be a 19 year old Tumblr girl like all the rest.

I have to say that I howled with laughter at the other anon comments! "If you're just here to get more compliments from your ass-kissing followers..."

I'm not sure why this is considered unusual - actors don't normally have any contact with the people doing the music on their movies, so he may not have ever met the guy before. With so many of his friends and castmates there it would have been weird if he had been getting pally with Clint Marshall.

>>538 It is a better and funnier reason for her first, sudden, shut down isn't it? She claimed she was mid-thirties, but regardless, if an aunt truly exists and she is a prominent/known figure in the theatre community, I doubt being an adult would save her from reprimand.

>>539 TH and Mansell know each other and follow each other on twitter, Mansell's agent is JA and Mansell was RT things related to TH before BoraBora. That's what the bycycle's poster was hinting at.

I find so unusual that the SanSebastianFF would release to the public the time TH and the rest will arrive at their hotel today. Is the check-in part of the festival?

Yes, I'm quite a regular London theatre-goer and I have to say she hardly ever posted anything about theatre itself, or that made me think she was in theatre circles and knew what she was talking about. Her general commenting audience didn't seem to know very much about London theatre, so her vague statements were accepted at face vlaue.

She claimed not to know who Tom was before 2011, when he was quietly generating buzz within the theatre world long before that. It's quite a small community, so people tend to know each other - that seeemd odd. But then her whole attitude towards Tom is strange - she's not a fan of him, yet runs a blog off the back of his fame, which mainly talks to and about his fans. I can believe the 'not a fan' bit becausse she rarely displayed any interest in his actual work, she seemed more interested in stirring up drama and petty arguments among fans.

So we assume he knows the guy, at least slightly. They might just be acquaintances, though - following someone on Twitter does not mean much, Tom follows a lot of people he works with on Twitter and some random people he doesn't know (like most of us do).

My theory is that he uses Twitter to DM some people rather than give out his phone number, which until recently meant you had to be following each other.

Even if they're really good friends, not being incredibly pally with him when he's actually working is not exactly strange. Co-stars are expected to publicly interact with each other at these events, and to some extent are performing for the cameras when they do so. Or he even could have had a long and enthusiastic conversation with him before the event that just didn't get photographed.

People really do over-interpret photographs and Twittervto fit their conspiracy theories.

>>544 For example the makeup lady on ISTL - I guess on the basis that if they are in the industry they won't be too mad. Even if he doesn't as far as we know interact with them again he doesn't tend to unfollow. Again not surprising as once you have a big list of stuff you're following going through and deleting is a hassle. I agree - I don't read anything into him having followed CM.

Following and unfollowing JA within a few hours of the Wimbledon debacle - rather different!

>>543 My secret shame is that I had no idea who he was up to and including watching him in Coriolanus, despite going to the theatre a lot. I realised later that I had seen him in Ivanov and Othello - but hadn't watched Thor/Avengers etc as it wasn't my thing, and didn't bother with the Hollow Crown because I had fairly recently seen an amazing production at the RSC and I thought the telly version would just bug me. So I never really realised he had gone onto bigger things especially as he had been out of the theatre world for a long time since Ivanov. Then a friend said she had front row tickets for Coriolanus and I said "oh ok sounds nice. Who's that bloke?" She said later she thought I sounded most ungrateful!

Well, since it's always better to see for yourself, here's the High Rise q&a video that somehow I didn't post. Mansell is the one in green.

Mansell is just in the intro in this video, he wasn't actually there for the q&a, although there is an extra chair. If the bycycle poster was basing their post on just this, meh.

Sorry, have lost use of verbs.
