I recently discovered that I have been accepted to a certain university! (After sending a letter of appeal, after getting rejected). It’s not much, given how many years I have spent getting rejected from that particular university (can’t really pay for any others...), but at least I have a shot at getting on with my life now.

This is kind of the closest regularly-used thread we have to "post conflicted/neutral/boring things".
