But it's possible, given the sad state of education today, that she is perfectly intelligent and was just never taught. Lots of American schools seem much more interested in teaching "self-esteem" and (insert politically powerful ethnic group here) History Month than in giving people the basic literacy and numeracy skills to get a job and support themselves--which is what the taxpayers are paying them for in the first place.

But I suppose that's not very DQN, is it? Maybe it would be better to say "all these systems of thought are just abstract symbol manipulation, from arithmetic to differential calculus. they were created by human beings, not handed down from the sky by the gods, and what one human creates another human can understand. You just have to be willing to put in the hard work. For most people it doesn't come easy, but almost anyone can do it if they try. GO GO DQN GO!"
