The only noticeable change I've seen is people complaining about it in other threads. The actual shitposters either don't realize or don't care that their posts are shit. The only purpose that thread serves is an outlet for people to make ironically bad posts.
Anyway, I think it's fruitless to try to dictate the content people post on the internet. Some forums try to do so with heavy moderation, it's elitist quality! But it never works too well in practice. The best thing to do is ignore the bad posts and bump quality threads with quality posts of your own.
