I've done a little ceramics, though it's been a while. I definitely prefer hand-building, mostly due to aesthetic preferences. Both methods are nice, but it really depends on the look you're going for. I don't have much experience with the wheel, and I've never used a kick one, so I can't really comment on that. Basically the more hands-on/traditional the methods, the more I tend to enjoy the work.
