I hope nobody minds that I cleaned up the title a little bit.
Hello,
My name is Andrew and I'm looking forward to have a LOTS of fun together with you, people.
What music do you like best?
>>482
You replied, ergo I win.
Feel free to reply to this. Try to qualify yourself as not the asspained faggot that you are. Or don't--make it completely obvious you're seething with butthurt, but too scared to stand up for yourself.
Either way, I win.
I wish I was crazy enough to live in some sort of fantasy world or believe in far-fetched conspiracy theories.
Tokiko is necrobumping threads on 4chan and everyone's getting really mad.
You should do it here, Tokiko.
I need to die.
Also, this place sucks.
VC:coyssment; no thank you sir i do not like it
>>491
You can only necrobump threads on world4ch. A thread will last for at most 3 or 4 days on most of 4chan.
DEFINITELY needs more fairies.
Can we stick to yelling at tripdicks only when they actually post with tripcodes? I think it's great if they want to post anonymously and all this silly guessing is just counterproductive,
I can't remember my lens prescription and I haven't had a vision test in a while, so I should get an appointment...
This is my single manly tear emote ;_· It doesn't work very well with this computer.
My new password is magnificent.
>that feel when they intentionally leave hints as to how they are so you know
not even a conspiracy theory dude. tokiko even admits this (''anonymously'' of course) on the /net/ thraed about trolls
It's been too long, my dear.
Ugh, what the fuck. I get drunk for one night and come back to find some random /lounge/ kid shitting all over DQN.
>>504
Most of us had grown out of these board vs. board fights. Fuck off, punk.
This place is just like /jp/ without pictures
ehehehehe
oh dear.
oh dear. oh dear.
I really hope that job application is not long.
>>510
It certainly is, now that it's full of shitposters as opposed to a week or so ago.
Hey, Squeeks! Clean up in aisle 0!
;_·
Eh, close enough.
Oh my goodness, traffic.
Oh, look at this: ttp://boards.4chan.org/jp/res/9011150
Being /jp/ regular is like being a retard. Too bad there's no way to contain retards on the internet.
I'm easy to troll on slow-moving boards like this. It just pisses me off that the shitposts of /jp/tards and their ilk will be part of this board forever, unless they get deleted by mods (which given the standards of /dqn/ at its best is quite unlikely).
Also, it's way past my bedtime and I'm cranky.
>>521
I find that one of the beautiful things about these boards, to be honest. We're not strictly trying to keep a clean record, and the posts--good or bad--will be around forever. We're not cherry-picking good posts to put in a time capsule. If some futuristic beings in the year 1994 look back on /dqn/, they'll see it exactly how it was.
> Above all, I hope we don't become missionaries. Don't feel as if you're Bible salesmen. The world has too many of those already. What you know about computing other people will learn. Don't feel as if the key to successful computing is only in your hands.
Anyone checked out that "GPL" lately?|
Thus Spoke Zarathustra is my new favourite book.
>>527
Why? I think it's not worth much more than its cute sayings.
>>528
I don't know, I just love the style of it and I agree with a lot of what the guy has to say. I suppose "new favourite book" might be a bit of an exaggeration - it's somewhat of a personal joke that my favourite book is almost always the one I'm currently reading.
>>529
I like it a lot too, albeit objectively, as a work of fiction in and of itself.
>>527
It was pretty badly written (I'm German) and the ideas weren't exactly new.
Nietzsche was a proto-LiveJournalist.
farting goblin butt sex
I ran today. And when I when I got home I ate grapes and a orange. I feel great.
I caught rares, so many rares!
HAHAHAH!
Wanna know what I love?
Paychecks.
Eh, I'll do it tormorrow.
Ohhh I like this cold weather.
Lullaby~
It is ridiculously warm out today.
Curse you, B1. You'll be the death of me.
I just hugged my mother.
Is it possible to delete posts on DQN?
>>545
No, dunno why though. Normally you can in Kareha.

Hey /DQN/, what's the simplest way to use HTML5 to embed a .3g2 video in a page?
>>549<video src="video.3g2" width="320" height="240">
Of course, it won't work unless the user's browser supports it. Which it won't. Transcode it to .webm, there a bunch of easy tools to do this.
>>550
Oh...would the code be any different for webm? Also what about ogg video?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Cel8u1-N7Y
Judging from the comments and description and stuff am I the only person that finds this horrific? Please tell me it's a well-made spoof like something Chris Morris would make
The lighting lit up the night so bright! It was like daytime!
Wondering whether it's legal to take a wooden prop katana on-board a train.
Also, 555 GET.
>>556
Not him, but it could still be considered a weapon. I mean, baseball bats are weapons. So are hacksaws. Now you have something actually shaped to resemble a weapon used to chop people up.
Oh lawnmower blade, what are you doing in my bag?
I am going to go to bed at a decent hour tonight.
I've already leveled up enough to not need this any more.
> ⚡⚡⚡ MORE POWER ⚡⚡⚡
I don't think so, Tim.
I don't get depressed because I'm hurt personally. I get depressed when people around me are in pain. And I'm really fucking depressed right now.
Welcome to Heaven.
Does DQN lift weights? I just broke a front squat plateau and a power snatch plateu inside a week of exams.
Perhaps I should try hard mode.
I find it ironic that Americans tend to spell Döner Kebab as if it were named after the Donner Party.
>>568 That's not ironic. That's just bad spelling. (also, we usually spell it "gyro" over here, because lol immigrant nationalism)
What is ironic that kebab is a better spelling, but kabob is a better pronunciation, as far as matching the Middle Eastern languages goes. There are no winners in Great Vowel Shift, only survivors.
Why do people say "rice balls" instead of "onigiri"? You don't call shish kebabs "meat-on-skewers" or chocolate mousse "cocoa foam".
It's raining mittens!
>>566
I lift a little. Just, you know, so I can be both a nerd and a sexy manbeast.
>>570 there is no overridingly consistent logic behind what terms people adopt in the process of cultural appropriation.
I love the fact that it moves itself - like it's possessed or something. I still can't believe I actually made the damn thing.
I find it hard to use DQN because I'm too dumb to realize which threads have moved within the past week.
On the page source, from line 90 onwards we have:
var pictureSrc = 'http://shii.org/b/mittens.gif'; //the location of the mittens
var pictureWidth = 40; //the width of the mittens
var pictureHeight = 46; //the height of the mittens
var numFlakes = 10; //the number of mittens
var downSpeed = 0.01;
var lrFlakes = 10;
var EmergencyMittens = false;
I really want to fiddle about these settings. Especially numFlakes.
>>576
Go for it.
Also I like how Shii didn't even make any effort to hide that he adapted it from a GeoCities snowflake script.
LOL SHII
Wishing on a dream that seems far off
Hoping it will come today
Into the starlit night,
Foolish dreamers turn their gaze,
Waiting on a shooting star
But, what if that star is not to come?
Will their dreams fade to nothing?
When the horizon darkens most,
We all need to believe there is hope
Is an angel watching closely over me?
Can there be a guiding light I've yet to see?
I know my heart should guide me, but,
There's a hole within my soul
What will fill this emptiness inside of me?
Am I to be satisfied without knowing?
I wish, then, for a chance to see,
Now all I need, [desperately]

Oh thank you!
I gave $6 and sent it to my friends.
VC: shoy
I thought Katawa Shoujo was kind of boring but the music was nice.
Oh shit! I just realized that I'm going to learn sign language so I can talk with my girlfriend just like that guy in that game. I guess that eroge isn't all that different from real life after all? Fuck, did I just compare life to porn video games? I'm messed up!
>>583
Funny that you say that. I did Rin's route a few months ago and forgot about the game, but just last night I picked it back up on a whim. I played through Shizune's route and found myself thinking, 'I wonder how it would feel to play this while learning sign language to talk to a girl you like in real life?' No kidding, I actually thought exactly that.
I haven't played other VNs so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I was impressed by the art and detail. The plot and dialogue can be long-winded and angsty, and the sex scenes are laughably unrealistic, but I didn't expect much more from an eroge. All in all, it's a pretty fine game for what it is and a testament to the power of internet collaboration.
>>580
Why do you need money to make an album?
Why am I giving for a cause before it's even done anything?
Why not earn the money yourself if you need it? I might be able to get investors, but people on the streets wouldn't just give me money for a project even if it was noncommercial.
