I believe that understanding of the insignificance of everything and the nothingness of death are two major milestones in personal philosophy. Don't let religious nonsense about afterlife, reincarnation, etc get you there.

The first one reveals how ridiculous are people, lets you poke fun at them and improves the mood in general. The latter one gives you an ability to judge whenever the life sucks big enough to be done with it.

DQN is the color of her hair. DQN is a refreshing breeze and the rustling of leaves. DQN is a sweet smile from an old lady. DQN is a fansub group taking up the series you want to watch. DQN is your VC being relevant and making you smile. DQN is drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate with mittens on, watching the snow fall outside.

And when you finally find DQN, you'll be at rest.

DQN WAS PHONE.

I think that I experienced a panic attack in class today. We watched a video about crystal meth when it happened. For some reason, I've always just felt funny when the topic of drugs comes up. Anyway, what happened was they were showing some houses of meth addicts, interviews with their kids, that kind of thing. I start feeling weird. A bit dizzy, a bit sick to my stomach. I start to sweat and feel hot. My pulse begins to slow down, and I get dizzy. My vision fades out to white and I wonder if I'm dying. My world feels like it's came to a stop, and I just get hotter and hotter as I worry that people are staring at me. (My head is down on my desk at this point.) I'm not sure how long the whole experience lasted, but it couldn't have been more than five minutes, and it was very, very, awful.

I wish that somewhere out there in this wide world there was a hot girl with a fetish for a boy that likes drunkenly eating a baguette erotically in bed while half-heartedly watching youtube videos.

Anthropology and ancient history are such enlightening topics to pursue after one has dwelled intellectually upon modern conceptions of life, death and the nature of the universe. Feeling a sense of empathy with tribes and civilisations of millennia past I am struck not only with the inevitability of our humanity, but an anticipation for the possible accomplishments we have yet to achieve.

For all that I disliked the Harry Potter fandom as a teenager, I'm glad the actual stories (and a good deal of fan-fiction for that matter) were genuinely entertaining works of literature. Growing up, it's distressing to see kids these days with their Twilights, Hunger Games, Homestucks and whatnot, who might never know the meaning of good fiction.

Also, what other fandom has created something as amazing as AVPM? That's right; none.

Now I'm in that position again and I kind of want to go back to being a buzzing socialite. I guess there's just no pleasing myself.

Grass is always greener, eh? I, too, went through a brief period where I surprised myself with my own promiscuity. I realized that such a life can be fun at times, but is not really what I want. Now I'm back to being a mostly quiet nerd with a steady girlfriend that sometimes turns social again on the weekends.

It's good to have many various experiences for the sake of comparison. Just enjoy it while it lasts, you'll strike a balance eventually.
