Random thought on the q&a - if nobody knew the history would anybody look at them and think they were together? If they are in a relationship they are hiding it unbelievably well.

Against my better judgment I had a peek at CB. The party line over there seems to be that they are together but because he is a Good Person he is not using it for publicity and/or not baiting the fans with it. I must say I really don't get the logic there. If they are together, wasn't the whole point of pap night to get it out there so the fans could get over themselves and/or as a prelude to the RC so it didn't look totally manufactured? There's absolutely no logic to that line of thought, it doesn't even take into consideration the fact that after pap night they spent more than a month apart and it's not like they were especially busy (and since we had an almost weekly sighting of him we know she wasn't with him).
Besides, we are focusing on TIFF, but TH has other festivals and RCs to attend and then he'll be off filming so not spending time together at all makes no sense.

Am I right that TIFF Is the only festival outing for ISTL that he was slated to attend? Then I guess the U.S. premiere whenever that is, if he can make it with filming commitments. Not actually many more opportunities for us to see them together. And I shall be interested to see how much SPC pushes it after those bad reviews, and how he copes doing publicity for it. Just posting those OLLA links and comparing the thousand watt smile to yesterday made me see a real difference. Or comparing yesterday to ComicCon when he looked like he was having the time of his life.

There could be others. I can't believe they are not going to use TIFF to either squash these rumours.
That Daily Mail article was awful. Most of their articles are awful. Plus some of the info was wrong - that sneaky tumblr pic was taken only a couple days before the paparazzi incident in July, not all the way back in May.
Unless they outright deny that they are dating, the media will keep reporting on the "relationship." Romance gets people to click links and buy papers. And I don't think they're going to deny it - I think they will let the press use the "on and off screen couple!" angle of promotion since the reviews of ISTL have been so bad save for their performances.

It was suggested on tumblr they arrived separately "but walked the red carpet together." This appears to mean that they posed in front of the advertising signboard for about 3 photos.

I bet it's the first time he's seen Eddie this year - I reckon there were some Oscar congratulations going on there. Looking at the Getty pictures they shook hands with one hand each, then moved to the double-handed handshake, then went into a full-on body hug.
Similarly he probably hasn't seen Elizabeth Moss since last year when they finished filming, and Jessica Chastain since Comic Con.
I'm glad to see him looking happy - he has seemed a bit subdued to me recently.

I'd say that like you pointed out yesterday, it's one thing to not make a show of a relationship on RC and Q&A if you want to keep it private, but never be close or spending time together at parties it's just not natural or normal for 2 people who are dating. And there were fans at those parties who would have spotted them.
(I take it Brie isn't anymore with her 2013's bf?)
