Based on this, I wouldn't say that either TH and JL are alpha males. The former for his wet rag self confidence and need for approval, the latter for his lack of physical presence and hang-up about it. They are both good looking, charming, and successful in their fields (and with the ladies, though JL provides more proof of that) but neither screams alpha male. To me, at least. Perhaps it depends on the setting, and they were at the top of the totem at that particular party.
