At my new house I found a folder of notes from a student who must've lived here two years ago, judging by the dates. It has the name Hailie on the inside, and is mostly economics/business stuff, along with some English notes (it seems she was Chinese). I was just flicking through it out of curiosity, and found, towards the bottom of one of the last pages, written in small, neat letters:

Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss. But every once in a while you find someone who is iridescent, and when you do, nothing will ever compare.

It seemed very poignant until I googled it and it turned out to be from some romance novel.

Also my desk says "MOTT MACDONALD DO NOT REMOVE", which didn't seem poignant before or after being googled.

Also also I have no bedding! Literally just a bare mattress to sleep on. Oh well.
