I came back after a few days to find my rice cooker crawling with maggots. I cleaned it out with bleach and hot water but I'm not sure if I should just throw it out and get a new one anyway. Every time I make congee using the secret DQN recipe I'll be mentally picturing the little things crawling all over my food.

It's fine. I've had maggots infestation problems in the past which led to my unfortunate ingestion of 'em with my bread.
There were no perceivable side effects and I'm (sadly) still here, eh?
