Could he be en route to Vietnam from the UK? When I flew this route a few years ago options were fairly limited: Thai Airways and change at Bangkok or Vietnam Airways direct. Thai is ok but nowhere near as nice as Ethiad and Vietnam Airways has that Aeroflot fall out the the sky feel. If you can now fly Ethiad and change in Dubai it is probably a lot nicer.

I personally don't like too much social media attention, so on the rare occasions I meet celebrities I just don't post about it. Shocking behavior in today's world, apparently.
